Chapter 112

Yvonne's heart raced as Javier's question caught her off guard. Why would he ask her that? Did he notice something about her? Should she say something or just ignore him? But he has a gun and is threatening her with it. 

She doesn't know what to do. Forget it, she decided. She would find something to say-anything to divert his attention. 

But before she could respond, the specialist entered. "Boss, who do you think was the person who shot at me?" 

Javier glanced at the specialist as he stood up. "I don't know. There were two of them-the one I chased and the one here." 

"Talking about him. He said something about something coming at you that you would not expect; what do you think he meant?" 

Javier put his gun in his back pocket and approached the specialist. "I don't care what he meant," he asserted. "My life has always been in danger, so whatever happens, I'll deal with it."
