Landon's constant cry for help in his heart summoned the tree of the forsaken once more.
The male held on to Malark, his heart tearing apart as his deeds flashed before his eyes.
With the sun and the moon as his witness, Landon had succeeded in breaking everything good in his life.
All roads were closed for him. All the walls closed in on him. He was getting destroyed from the inside out.
"Crying isn't going to help," the tree spoke.
"What will!" Landon snapped at the tree. He was tired of hearing all the things that he was doing wrong. He too knew that what he was doing wasn't working. If it had then the world would be fixed and they won't still be frozen.
"Taking back the choice we made back then," the tree informed him.
Landon frowned. The tree insinuated that the two of them might have known each other before. At that point even if a grasshopper was to claim to have been acquainted with him in the past then he would believe it.
