Her Awakening (1)

In the empty corridor, Catherine ran as fast as her legs could carry her as she tried to escape from the dark figure following her behind, unhurried and with both his twin blades held tightly in his grasp. Catherine's breathing was ragged and labored, and with every step of her pounding heart, she could feel the cold trickle of sweat running down her back as she kept running without daring to look over her shoulders.

The heels of her shoes clicked against the floor, echoing through the empty space as she thought of outsmarting her tormentor and finding a place to hide. Her parents had left the house this morning with the butler, and Orson had left Thirty minutes after her parents were no longer at home.

Currently, she couldn't call out to anyone for help since she was all by herself, but she had not anticipated what was happening to her right now.
