Sleeping Over

"So, is everyone ready to watch a movie?" Ara was standing in front of the big group. People were spread all over the room that they were in on the floor, chairs, and couches. Lila was snuggled up under Scorpius's arm. Declan and Mary quietly discussed potions; Albus was sitting near them, listening in on the topic. Grace had a wide smile on her face that she started sporting after Hyperion put his hand on her leg, drawing circles on it. James was saving a spot for his girlfriend. Hugo, Margret, and Milly were all sharing a large blanket. Lucus, Lysander, and Lorcan were lying on their stomachs on the floor in front of the screen. They were really excited. Lily was in a chair that looked entirely too big to hold one person, but she took up the whole thing.

"Yes, what do you have?" Scorpius answered for the group.

"Well, I have Titanic, Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, Jurrasic Park, and The Notebook," Ara was happy the boys had failed to bring choices of their own.

"Not Casablanca!" Hyperion groaned. He hated that movie. They had seen it so much.

"Jurrasic Park sounds good," Lily spoke up. She was curious about what it was about.

"Is that alright with everyone else?" Ara was getting it out of the case.

Everyone just nodded or shrugged, so Ara put the disc in and pushed play before taking her spot next to James. He pulled her in closer, and she rested her head on his shoulder, breathing in his cologne.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the movie. Ara really wanted to watch another, but people were starting to get tired, and it was getting late. She thought maybe it was better to go back to their rooms, just in case.

Hermione, Luna, and Ginny were in the other room, checking in on all the children quietly every once in a while.

"Remember when we used to do this all the time?" Ginny said with a smile.

"Yes," Hermione smiled back at her best friend.

"I loved it," Luna chimed it.

They all got up when they started to hear movement from the other room and watched the boys head off to Hyperion's room, and the girls were heading to Ara's room.

"They look so tired," Luna said sweetly.

"They really do," Hermione laughed softly.

Before they all went their separate ways, James pulled Ara secretly and kissed her hard. He wished that he could come with her. He wanted to see her first thing when he woke up, but he could wait.

"I love you, Ara, goodnight." He smiled at her when they broke apart.

"I love you too, James," Ara pulled him back in and kissed him again, softer this time.

When the girls got to Ara's room, they found that Hermione had made a bunch of beds, and the whole room was full of pillows. Ara smiled; it was perfect. It would be just like a movie.

"This is great!" Lila said as she jumped onto one of the beds. Lily followed suit, and the girls started to hit one another with pillows, laughing the whole time. Mary smiled at Ara with a gleam in her eye. Ara started running away, but Mary hit her with a pillow before she could get too far.

The girls soon formed two teams and tried to knock the other team off the bed just by hitting them with pillows. The laughter from their room filled the halls, and the three older witches smiled at one another. All the sacrifices they made at their children's age was for this—this love and laughter.

The teams were Lily, Ara, and Mary as one team and Grace, Lila, Margret, and Milly. Soon they all laid down, worn out from all the giggling and throwing of pillows.

"That was the most fun I think I've ever had," Grace said in between gasps for air and giggles.

"Me too!" Lila seconded.

"You know Mary; you were so right. Hyperion was an amazing dancer," Grace turned over to stomach and looked at Mary.

Mary just smiled at the girl. She had no idea what to say.

"Did you girls all have fun at the ball?" Ara asked, trying to change the subject of her brother for her friend's sake.

"Oh, so much fun Ara," Lily smiled and sighed.

"What was that for?" Milly asked her cousin.

"I cannot wait until I am older and have a date like the four of you. It looks wonderful to dance with a boy you like."

"It is," Ara sighed and smiled at Lily.

"Ara," Lily got serious, "Do you love my brother?" The girls all quieted down and waited patiently for her response.

"More than you know, Lily," Ara smiled and thought about James. He was perfect. He loved her and cared for her, and she felt so safe with him. She couldn't imagine not having him with her through happy times and tough times. He was always there when she thought about her future.

"Perfect," Lily smiled bigger now.

"What about you Lily, do you like anyone?" Margret looked at her cousin.

"I don't think so." Lily shrugged and frowned. She had never met any boys at Hogwarts that interested her. That made her feel like that. She was only 13, though, so she had plenty of time.

"What about you, Mar?" Milly smiled sneakily at her twin.

"You know the answer to that already," Margret frowned at her sister.

"Come on, tell us," Lila pleaded.

"He isn't from Hogwarts," Margret said plainly.

"Well, where is he?" Grace questioned, not catching onto Margret's tone.

"He's a muggle," Milly answered for her twin with a grin, "She met him while we were on vacation, and father had to go with her everywhere, so she didn't accidentally give away that we were witches," Milly burst into a fit of giggles and Margret hit her with a pillow.

"That's alright, Margret. It's hard to remember that we have to keep it so secret when we've grown up around wizards all our life," Mary smiled at her, and Margret showed a small smile. The girls kept talking about different boys for a couple more hours before they all fell asleep. It was so nice, having so many friends. Girls they could talk to. It made them all incredibly happy.

The boys did not have pillow fights but instead couldn't believe when Scorpius snuck back into Hyperion's room with a big thing of Firewhisky.

"Where did you get that?" Hugo took it from Scorpius with a smile on his face.

"Scorp!" Hyperion was trying to be the voice of reason, but he wanted to try some in all honesty.

"I know where Father keeps it. He doesn't drink anymore, so I am sure he won't miss it." Scorpius went under Hyperion's bed and pulled out some glasses, and handed one to everyone.

"I don't know about this," Lucus looked at his glass skeptically. Declan had the same face as Lucus, but he didn't say anything. He was just happy to be accepted so easily into such a tight-knit group of friends.

"Come on, guys, what's the harm. We aren't going anywhere," James grabbed the bottle and poured some into his glass. Hugo followed suit, and next up was Scorpius. Lysander and Lorcan just shrugged and let Scorp fill their glasses. Declan let him fill up his glass as well. Scorpius didn't care if his brother didn't want some he was doing it.
