"Come in." Sophia said.
Emily walked in, bowing her head. "Milady... It's dinner time, and Mrs Sabastine insists that you have dinner with the family." Emily said to Sophia politely.
Alex sighed. "Is that really necessary?" He asked.
Emily nodded, "she said it wasn't up for debate that miss Sophia should prepare and come down." Emily said.
Alex sighed, and gestured for Emily to leave the room. Sophia's expression turned worried, her face etched with anxiety. "What if they keep on making fun of me like the way they did days ago?" Sophia asked.
Alex placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "That's why I'm here... I would make sure that they don't do that." He said, his voice laced with assurance.
However, Sophia doubted because he had promised her on several occasions that his family members would be nice to here, but they kept on being so cruel.
