Getting freaky in the dark tunnels

"Do you know what he said to his spouse once?" asked Yi Chen glancing over at Zi Han who was searching the temple. Zi Han didn't glance at him but he was listening. Yi Chen moved slightly to his right and tapped his light brain.

A three-dimensional image of a special access card popped up on the floating screen. "He said 'there is no such thing as the end of life, but, without you, my love, there is no life... I feel the same way about you," he said and with a high-pitched ding, a secret door on the wall opened revealing a stairway.

Zi Han felt his heart melt like ice under the summer sun. Slowly but surely his words were softening his heart and like a whipped boyfriend he would end up caving in. He might have felt this way but he would never admit it.

His expression remained the same as he walked to the door of the basement but before he could pass through Yi Chen pressed his hand against the door panel blocking his way.
