Chapter 8 [Unfamilliar Ceiling]

[Alice]: Huh... What is this...

I remember I lost consciousness because I used my health to use my skill instead of mana.

But when I opened my eyes, I was in an unfamiliar place. I looked around and it seems I'm the only one in there. The surrounding is dark like the space above the Earth. But there are also plenty of shining lights I see around me as I look for something familiar.

But I didn't find anything or anyone except this galactic-space dimension. So I walked through this place alone without a goal except to find a way out.

I don't have a watch with me, but I was counting on my mind and it's been at least 3 days since I woke up.

I was also wondering why I don't feel tired. I've been walking for days but my legs aren't sore nor am I hungry or thirsty.

And despite walking in this no-man place. I was at peace. I'm lost but not anxious. It felt unreal. The emotions I'm feeling right now are not like a human who is usually easy to be swayed by their environment, but a being that isn't easily swayed by unnecessary emotion and feeling.

I don't know what kind of being to feel like this. It's like everything will be alright, as long as I know the world, everything is in my control.

It's been 5 hours since I started thinking about this. And I was still walking without a destination in this galactic space. I started to wonder why I'm here. Did God put me here when I lost consciousness? Or did I die? That's possible but I don't think so. I feel like after walking in this place for so long, I feel like miracles can be created by my own hands. Am I being enlightened right now? I don't know. But I know my heart is at peace.

It's been a week now since I woke up in this place. And right now, I'm lying on the ground, gazing at the stars above.

[Alice]: The galaxy is so beautiful yet lonely...

I uttered that to myself as I gaze above the sky. This is probably why God in the Bible created Earth and humans based on His own image.

I don't know about the other religions but I think the same can be said for Elpízo and Omega's kin. They probably felt lonely and felt like the space is lifeless.

That is why they created their own world and people, their own artwork. Their own masterpiece.

One can say that as gods, creating insignificant things like humans who disobey them and with a short life span is meaningless. But I say that the things that we create, wheater it last long or not, don't matter. Because what matter is the feeling we put on what we create.

Art is something we create because of the feeling we have that we want to express. And it will eventually be part of everyone's mind as long it touches their heart and soul.

[Alice]: And for the gods who love their creation, Their World is Art, I guess...

Haha... What am I even saying? Is being stuck in this place for too long made me crazy? Or made me like a divine being that understands everything?

But I can definitely say after lasting in this place, that the world is art. That is why God created it and the living being inside it enjoys everything.

Wait... I'm forgetting something... Ah! I forgot to count!

Well, I guess it doesn't matter since I don't remember where I quit. But I'm guessing that another day is gonna pass by.

And even if I still remember it, I'm not even sure if I counted everything right. I could have possibly counted slower, meaning I have probably been here more than a week if that's the case.

But for the first time since I was in this vast space, my mental strength got tired after thinking all of this stuff, so my eyes soon closed down for the first time...

[Alice]: Huh? An unfamiliar ceiling... Where am I?

Glass shattered*

[Alice]: Eh?

[Girl]: Ah?

Who's this young child? And why is she looking as if I was dead that was suddenly resurrected?

[Girl]: Captain! The sleeping girl has awoken!

Sleeping girl? Is that me? How long have I been sleeping? Ah! She left.

[Alice]: Well... I guess I'll look around this house first...

I removed the blanket that was covering me and stood up from the bed.

[Alice]: Oh, what's tha-aaaAH!

But after taking another step, My legs lost control and went limp. I then fell to the ground with my head hitting it pretty hard with a loud bang

[Alice]: Ouch! What the... The ground... It's spinning around... Hahahaha....

And I lost consciousness

[Alice]: Huh? What is this?

I'm seeing a familiar unfamiliar ceiling.

[Male]: Oh? You're awake? Are you feeling alright?

[Alice]: Huh? I don't know... But what happened? And who are you?

[Ajax]: Drink this first to ease yourself

The unknown male handed me a cup of water while smiling

[Ajax]: It's a spring water. It would help you feel a bit better. So don't worry.

[Alice]: I see...

I took a sip to check if it was alright. After tasting it, I felt how dry my throat was so I drank all of it in one go.

[Alice]: That was good... Thank you

[Male]: You are welcome. Now let me explain to you some things. First of all, after you woke up and started to walk, you suddenly collapsed to the ground and hit your head. We found that out when we saw you lying on the ground with a bump on your head

[Alice]: I fell? Hmm.. I see... Yeah. Now that I think about it, my legs went limped after taking another step...

And I lost consciousness again after that. My body is gonna die at this rate if I keep off passing out.

[Male]: That's right. That's what happened after you collapsed in here. But do you remember anything before that?

[Alice]: Before that... Ah! The snakes! Wait! I'm still alive?

I remember passing out after that battle since I have to use my life in exchange for defeating those snakes.

[Male]: I'm glad you remember, so it seems you are memory is alright. By the way, I'm Ajax. What is your name?

[Alice]: Ah! I'm Alice. Wait... Your ears... Are you perhaps an elf?

My mind was still a bit hazy, but after focusing my eyes on his face, I noticed his ears were kind of pointy.

And this is out of topic but he also got a beautiful, smooth, and handsome face. And his hair is platinum blonde, It looks beautiful. He's like the handsome elf that is being portrayed in every fantasy movie.

[Ajax]: Yes. I am an elf. I would like to let you rest more but this is quite urgent, so I hope you cooperate with me and answer my questions since you said you remember what happened.

[Alice]: Eh? Are you perhaps... Interrogating me?

[Ajax]: Yes! I hope you don't mind.

I looked at his smiling face with dumbfounded face. I can't believe you're interrogating me after waking up.

[Alice]: Well, I don't think I have a choice since I'm in someone's place anyways. And I'm starting to feel better. So I can probably give you a satisfactory answer.

[Ajax]: I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Well, Let's start then.

[Alice]: Go on then.

And he then started giving me multiple questions without a break. I'm so tired!
