Wayside Inn 2

Alex stared at the bartender cleaning a glass cup before asking.

"Hey, could I get a drink?"

"You seem a bit young...how about a glass of water instead?"

The bartender answered.

Alex was surprised by this answer. He half-expected the bartender to stare at him with a blank expression before going back to cleaning his glass cup.

"Sure. I'll have a glass"

" Alright, that'll be 2 silver then."

"Sure....."

Alex began rummaging in his pockets, hoping whoever sent him to this world left him with some silver. Silver was the currency used in Rogue Lineage to trade or buy things in-game. Silver was also used out of Rogue Lineage say like money for example. Black marketing in Rogue Lineage was fairly common as well. Alex felt a stare pierce him from the right side. He turned and noticed a female Dzin with dark red skin, orange eyes, and dark brown hair staring at him with eyes on his pocket. The Dzin had a mithril dagger sheathed at her side. Alex noticed it had a red glow to it. There was also a Rigan seated right next to her, speaking to the Dzin in a low voice. Alex didn't think much of the Rigan and mostly focused on the Dzin instead.

"Excuse me sir, but if you don't have 2 silver, I can't give you your drink..."

The bartender reminded him.

"Oh! Sorry but I don't have any money.."

'Then don't waste my time then...'

The bartender sighed as he went back to cleaning the glass cups. He wondered what such a young man was doing in a place with this, with no money too at that.

' I just hope he can survive long enough for daytime to come again, so all these blood-thirsty thieves can get out of my bar...' The bartender shivered as a figure with red hair and eyes walked up to him.

"Yo, 'need a vint."

"Sure, that'll be 10 silver."

The man pulled out 10 blood-stained silver coins from his pocket before handing them to the bartender. He walked away taking a seat at a nearby table, staring at the bartender.

'Better be quick..' He mumbled before his stomach growled again.

'Won't be able to control myself for much longer...'

Alex walked away from the bartender, past the tables, and upstairs, finally feeling relief when he noticed the Dzin wasn't throwing daggers at him anymore. He decided to go back to his room and plan what to do next.

"An assassin huh..."

Dzin is a rare race in rogue lineage that players have a 1-2% chance of obtained if they reroll their current one.

Also, Alex is 16, turning 17 that year.
