Chapter 340: You Actually Fought Me for a Woman

Outside the Continental Hotel, Natasha engaged in a fierce battle with the assassins.

Within the Asgardian Realm-

Loki, accompanied by Frost Giants including Laufey, arrived outside Odin's sleeping chamber.

Frigga, noticing the frost appearing on the chamber doors and walls, immediately understood that an enemy had invaded. She drew the sword by her bedside, preparing for a confrontation.

The frozen door opened, and the Frost Giant King and one of his subordinates walked in. Frigga swung her sword at the Frost Giant entering, instantly killing one of them.

Laufey, seeing his subordinate struck down, gestured, and Frigga was sent flying with a wave of his hand.

Then, Laufey approached Odin, lying on the bed, and peeled back Odin's eyelids.

"I heard that you can still hear and see what happens around you."

"I hope that's true."

"In that case, you'll know that your death is orchestrated by Laufey."

Odin's soul had returned to the Asgardian Realm, witnessing everything that had happened. He was ready for a counterattack.

Simultaneously, he thought, "Loki, I hope you won't disappoint me."

As Laufey was about to finish Odin off, Loki used the Gungnir to blast Laufey, who was defenseless.

"And you are killed by Odin's son."

Laufey, lying on the ground in disbelief, stared at Loki. He was not only Loki's biological father but also it was Loki who brought him into Asgard. He never expected this outcome.

Seeing Laufey still not dead, Loki used the Gungnir again, this time reducing the heavily injured Laufey to debris.

At that moment, the unconscious Frigga woke up and rushed forward, embracing Loki.

"Loki, you saved him."

"I swear, Mother, they will pay the price."

Just as Loki was about to finish his sentence, Thor arrived.

"Loki."

Seeing Thor, Frigga exclaimed, "Thor!"

"I knew you would come back."

Frigga stepped forward and hugged Thor, while Loki looked at Thor with an unhappy expression.

As Thor approached, Loki, gripping the Gungnir, kept stepping back.

"Why didn't you tell Mother that you sent the Destroyer to kill our friends and me?"

Frigga exclaimed, "What?"

Loki explained, "It was sent to carry out Father's final instructions."

"Little brother, you're a clever liar, as always."

"You came back, which is great."

"I'm going to destroy Jotunheim."

Then, Loki aimed the Gungnir at Thor. However, Thor was still his brother, and Loki hesitated to unleash the Gungnir's full power on him. So, he was only sent flying.

With the obstruction gone, Loki immediately ran towards the Rainbow Bridge.

Arriving at the Rainbow Bridge, Loki aimed it directly at Jotunheim. The Rainbow Bridge was not only a means of transportation but also a formidable weapon.

As the Rainbow Bridge activated, a massive energy beam directly struck Jotunheim, shattering the ground and causing numerous Frost Giants to perish instantly.

Thor flew back to the scene, witnessing the activated Rainbow Bridge and the frozen control point.

Loki looked at Thor, reinforcing the ice pillars while speaking, "You can't stop it. The Rainbow Bridge will not be restored until Jotunheim is destroyed."

Thor approached to destroy the ice pillars with his Mjolnir, but Loki shot him with Gungnir, sending him flying.

Thor stood up and looked at his brother, asking, "Why are you doing this?"

"I want to prove to Father that I am a capable son. I will save him when he wakes up."

"I am going to eliminate the Jotunheim and truly inherit the throne."

Thor tried to dissuade him, "You cannot slaughter the entire tribe."

Hearing Thor's words, Loki laughed angrily. Not long ago, Thor had taken several people to Jotunheim, proclaiming that he would exterminate the Frost Giants.

Now Loki wondered why it was wrong to do the same thing today.

"Why not? Suddenly developed a fondness for the Frost Giants?"

"You should kill them all with your bare hands."

Thor looked at Loki, saying seriously, "I have changed."

"So have I!"

Then, Loki, holding Gungnir, hit Thor in the face and provocatively said, "Come and fight me."

Seeing Thor not reacting, Loki used Gungnir like a staff, knocking Thor down on the ground.

Loki, looking at Thor, said menacingly, "I never wanted the throne. I just wanted to be equal with you."

Thor stood up, shouting, "Brother, I won't fight you."

"I am not your brother, never was."

"Loki, you're talking nonsense."

"Am I?"

"What did you do on Earth? You turned into such a softie."

"Don't tell me it's because of that woman."

Seeing Thor remaining silent, Loki instantly understood and felt quite displeased.

"Yes, maybe when we are done here, I'll pay her a personal visit."

Learning that Loki wanted to meet Jane after finishing everything, Thor became furious. He immediately swung Mjolnir and charged at Loki, who raised Gungnir to resist.

Loki, wielding Gungnir, transformed into a melee mage, and with Mjolnir in Thor's hands, the battle became complicated. Loki gained an advantage, and the fight seemed to be going in his favor, with Loki landing several blows on Thor.

Agent Coulson, after seeing Thor and the others leave, arranged for the base personnel to handle the aftermath while reporting the situation to Director Fury.

Listening to Coulson's report, Director Nick Fury was momentarily stunned. He then confirmed, "Are you saying someone picked up the hammer and destroyed the steel robot?"

"Yes, Director."

"However, he has a few friends who know about his situation."

"Later, I will communicate with those individuals to understand the situation. I'll report back after organizing the information."

"We don't currently need additional support here."

After Coulson's report, Nick Fury hung up and immediately called the special agent team dispatched and Natasha.

The SHIELD agents were already at the scene. Seeing the scattered bodies, traces of a grenade explosion, and numerous bullet casings, they quickly drove an armored vehicle in front of Natasha's car, shielding her.

Meanwhile, the vehicle's loudspeaker announced, "We are agents of the International Strategic Affairs Department. Please cease your attacks."

The assassins, faced with the clearly official background of the approaching forces, were momentarily stunned. They quietly stowed away their firearms and merged into the crowd.
