At some point, humans thought of the existence of relics as something normal.
For them, it was probably the same as walking or breathing. Rather than doing it consciously, they use the power of relics without being entirely aware of what they were doing. Almost as if it was an innate ability.
However, there was a difference between the word 'using' and 'controlling'. Humans knew how to control their breathing patterns if they were asked to, like breathing slower or faster. But what about their ability to control relics?
That was the problem, Lucian thought. Since humans controlled relics instinctively, they didn't know what they were doing and how they were doing it.
If there was no air in the atmosphere, humans wouldn't be able to breathe. How did they know that? Because they were aware of the existence of the air.
