The Storm Plains

" Sorry Raven , I know that you may have to face many bandits on the way to Star Kingdom but rules are rules . I tried but the Academy only agreed to let you leave and did not agree your request of assigning some of your seniors as guards! " Zhang patted Raven's shoulder in front of the gates and could not help but show pity to this brave youngster in front of him .

Raven came to him and asked Zhang to apply for some guards as he had to Star Kingdom for a task . The Academy issued some tasks to the students which required them to travel to some dangerous places and hone their skills in real battles .

There were many types of Elders in the Academy and most of them harbored extreme contempt for commoners . Raven during five years was not able to sense energy while his peers have already entered the Qi condensation realm . Some of them even have entered 2nd level of Qi condensation realm . So these Elders gave Raven the task to deliver a simple document to Star Kingdom.

Raven would have to travel through barren plane extending for hundreds of miles to reach the boundary of Star Kingdom . There he will not encounter any beasts but the area was filled with bandits and some of them were even powerful cultivators . In short Raven was given a silent death sentence and Zhang knew it . Zhang advised Raven to apply for guards and even lent him 500 Academy points but to no avail . Zhang was now helpless and could only watch this brave youngster as he traveled towards his death . Zheng could only curse his powerlessness as he was just a normal Elder with no backing inside the Academy .

" Thank you Elder Zhang ! I am grateful to you but in the end I can only blame my poor background and bad talent . " Raven bowed as he really respected this Elder who tried to protect him while others simply did not care.

Raven dashed away before Zhang could speak any other words because he was afraid that if he stopped for more time then his cover would be blown .

' Keke.. These Elders really made my life easier. Here I was planning on how to leave the Academy and now this mission came at perfect timing ! Now I can just leave for good and others will only think that I died on the way. Well , there is nothing here valuable to steal anyway ... "

Raven walked into a new grocery store in the Common District and greeted Dray before leaving the City for good through the main gates . He had done what he had promised and sent few gold coins to people from slum. Dray opened a small grocery store while others also were now living better lives in commoner district . Raven sent them few gold coins every week only to avoid suspicion. He had millions of them stored inside more than 70 space belts stuffed in his old traveling bag.

He had stole many precious things from many kingdoms and forests of the Eastern Continent in these past five months . Some of them were rare cultivation treasures like Blue Fire Fruit , Monkey Wine and Pure Cleansing Milk . These were the rarest treasures that can be found in the Eastern Continent but Raven had acquired them in large quantities for the time he starts cultivating . If one Blue Fire Fruit appeared in the Market then war will definitely happen among kingdoms because it was too rare and useful . This fruit can only grow in extreme hot environments and require more than hundred thousand years to mature.

Even sects from the powerful Central Continent will be interested in this fruit because one can gain Blue fire by refining this fruit easily . Essence fire is highly soughted by alchemists and artifact refiners . But Raven has 7 of these fruits which are casually stored inside one of his space belts. Others would stop at nothing to kill Raven if they knew that he possessed such rare treasures .

The Vermilion Empire Capital City was located near the Beast Mountain Range . These mountains were thousands of meters tall and were the home of countless magical beasts. Many hunters and cultivators traveled inside these mountains to hunt for beast cores and search for rare herbs . The inner regions of the mountains are the territory of powerful beasts who are thousands of years old .

So even a kid could understand that these mountains were extremely dangerous but for Raven , he only needed to care about his stamina. He traveled for more than seven days through the Mirror World and finally arrived at the Storm Plains .

" Fuu.. I cannot wait to find a Heaven Rank Cultivation Technique and start cultivating. Then I can travel thousands of kilometers easily and don't even a break a sweat . " Raven was having such thoughts as he panted while laying down on the soft grey sand inside the Mirror World .

He could see the huge cyclones ahead of him. The area was too dangerous and even Foundation Building experts could be crushed in seconds if they were caught by a cyclone. This place was completely barren but after crossing the Storm Plains , one can arrive at forest area where herbs of thousands of years of age can be found . Thus only Core Condensation and late Foundstion Building Expersts traveled here as those herbs were too important for alchemists and could be sold for thousands of low grade spirit stones each .

One low grade spirit stone was equivalent to thousand gold coins so one can easily imagine the value of these herbs . Still Raven was not interested in them because he was only here to find Firece Eagle beast . This magical beast was rare flying beast and preferred to live in stormy areas because it absorbed Wind Energy to cultivate. Raven can always find more valuable herbs after he reached the Central Continent and besides he was not interested in becoming an alchemist. To learn pill refining, Raven will have to spend a lot of time and he can just exchange some treasures for the pills he needs .

Raven looked at the huge plain surrounded by the cyclones and gulped because that plain was his destination and he would have to meet a beast which could crush him just by a strong breath . Naturally Raven was so scared that he wanted to piss his pants but he felt reassured when he thought about the Mirror World . He can enter inside with a thought and others cannot even sense him .
