HARD HEADED

One night, a man is dragged into a wear house and put on his knees.

"The fuck is this?" The man says.

At that moment, a short man with a flat, large head, with a monocle and a umbrella steps out of the shadows.

"Cobblepot? What the hell?"

Oswald Cobblepot( also known as the hammer head penguin) grins devilishly.

"Call it a- change in management, Tony. Falcon is locked up, but business must go on. Someone needs to step up and takeover." Cobblepot says.

Tony scoffs

"You think you can takeover until Falcon gets out?" Tony asks.

Oswald laughs.

"Falcone is not getting out. I was thinking I'd take a more- permanent role in this organization."

"Fuck you Cobblepot. Falcone gave me everything, I won't betray him."

Penguin sighs, slowly walking over to Tony.

"I was afraid you'd say something stupid like that."

Cobblepot then lands a headbutt that splits Tony's skull in half, blood dripping from his eyes and nose, killing him instantly. The Penguin pulls out a handkerchief and wipes the blood from his forehead.

"Pass along the message. Anyone still loyal to Falcone will end up like Tony over here."

"Yeah, sure boss. But- Falcone isn't our only problem."

"Ah yes, this Spider-Bat fellow." Penguin replies.

"He took down Falcone, and is still cracking down on our guys."

"Well, we'll just have to squash this spider." Oswald says.

Meanwhile, Peter and Gwen are walking together.

"The city looks so nice at night." Gwen says.

"Yeah, it was the second thing I missed the most when I was gone." Peter says.

"What was the first thing?" Gwen asks.

Peter turns to her and smiles

"You."

When he says this, Gwen smiles while blushing, brushing her hair behind her ear. Soon they make it to the Stacy's front door.

"Well, this is me. I had a really good time tonight." Gwen says.

"Yeah, I did too."

The two stare into each others eyes, both of them leaning in for a kiss but get inturupted by Commissioner Stacy opening the door.

"Dad- hi." Gwen says with a guilty grin.

"Hey Commissioner." Peter says.

"Hey kids, looks like you two had fun. Gwen, I have to go work right now, you know the drill, go inside and lock the doors. Peter, I can drop you off on the way if you want."

"No thanks sir, I'll just take the bus."

"Ok, be safe."

"I will sir. Bye Gwen, I'll call you later."

"You better." Gwen jokingly says.

Peter smiles and walks away as George Stacy drives off. He checks to see if he's alone then puts a ear piece that's linked to a police scanner, finding out that a body was found at the docks. Peter takes off his glasses and pulls off his shirt to reveal the Spider-Bat suit.

At the docks Commissioner Stacy, detective Harvey Bullock, and detective Renee Montoya are all standing infront of Tony's body.

"Jesus. Who is he?" Stacy asks.

"Slick Hand Tony, one of Falcone's guys." Bullock says.

"Maybe this is the work of some upstart crime boss, trying to take advantage while Falcone's locked up, trying to fill in the empty space." Montoya suggests.

"You're half right detective." a voice says behind them.

Stacy, Bullock and Montoya quickly pull out their guns and aim them at where they heard the voice, seeing no one at first. Soon Spider-Bat walks out of the shadows shocking them all.

"It's you." George says lowering his gun.

"Alright freak show, hands where I can see em. You make one move and we find out if that costumes Bulletproof."

"You'd be surprised." Peter says.

"Bullock! Montoya! Stand down, now."

Both Bullock and Montoya are shocked.

"But sir, the mayor gave us strict orders to arrest him." Montoya says.

Commissioner Stacy stares at Spider-Bat for a moment.

"I don't know what he is. But he isn't a criminal." Commissioner Stacy says.

Montoya and Bullock look at each other for a moment, slowly lowering their guns.

"Fine, Stacy. But if we get heat for this, I'm blaming this on you." Bullock says, glaring at Spider-Bat.

Peter walks over to the body, noticing that the victims skull is completely smashed in.

"Someone is trying to take advantage of Falcone's absence, but it's not a new player. It's an old one, inside of Falcone's organization."

"How do you know?" Montoya asks.

"There's been whispers. Apparently Falcone's right-hand man, Oswald Cobblepot, is trying to takeover. Judging by this, a lot of people aren't exactly happy about this."

"You're saying Cobblepot is killing the men who have a problem with his leadership." Commissioner Stacy says.

"That does make sense, we've been finding Falcone's guys dead all around the city." Bullock says.

Spider-Bat then starts to walk away.

"Where are you going?" Commissioner Stacy asks.

"Iceberg Lounge."

He then shoots out a web and swings away.

"Ugh, does that stuff come outta him?" Bullock asks.

A few minutes later, at the Iceberg Lounge, a knock can be heard on the door. The bouncer opens it, shocked to see Spider-Bat standing there.

"Oh shit. You are real." The bouncer says.

At that moment one of Penguins men walk over to the bouncer.

"Benny, who's at the door?"

The bouncer doesn't say anything and points at Peter. The man scowls at Spider-Bat, pushing Benny out of the way.

"What the hell do you want, freak?" The man asks.

"I'm here to see Penguin."

When Peter says this, the man laughs it off

"Then why don't you go to the zoo and get out of here before your suit gets covered in blood."

Peter smirks.

"Mine? Or yours?"

The man chuckles for a minute, then prepares to swing at Spider-Bat, but Peter quickly webs his eyes, punches him in the face and kicks him to the ground. Peter slowly walks in, intimidates Benny the bouncer and continues walking through the Iceberg Lounge.

"H-Hey guys!" Benny yells

As Peter walks through a crowd of people, a group of Penguins men try to stop him. One of the men throws a punch at the back of his head, but Peter easily dodges and hits him with a foarm strike. He then slams him into another man coming at him and kicks them both down a few stairs. As another man charges at him, Peter runs up a wall and kicks him in the side of the jaw. Yet another man runs in, but Peter sweeps his leg from under him and kicks him in the chest.

As he continues walking, Peter's Spider-Senses starts to go off. He quickly dodges a bullet that was going straight for his head. He looks over and sees a man loading up for another shot. Spider-Bat webs his face and pulls him head first into the railing.

Peter then hears someone behind and throws a punch, hitting the Penguin in the head, hurting his hand a little.

"Huh, that tickled a bit. That never happens."

Peter puts his fists down and glares at the Hammer Head Penguin.

"Boy, you're everything they say. I'm Os." Penguin says offering his hand.
