Chapter 20

[Gareth's POV]

Jason was waiting for us in the car.

"Shit!" He cussed, seeing my sister's state.

I propped a very disoriented and only barely conscious Marla in the front seat as Jason scurried to the back. I drove us to the hospital as fast as I could. Whatever Nayla did to her, I'd find out after the staff examined her.

Jason wore this grave expression on his face as we sat on the hospital waiting area. My sister in the emergency room. He shook his head. "Your wife sure changed a lot." He told me. "She would never do something like this before."

"What are you trying to say?"

"You have to ask your sister to stop messing with that girl -- just let her be. She's an Alpha now, for heaven's sake. Marla could get her self in some real trouble next time."
