Fyn gently dabbed at the rabbit’s fur with a damp cloth, trying to clean the blood and mud away from the wounds. Even though he was confident about what they were, he had to be absolutely sure. It was cruel to hurt an animal like that and completely unnecessary in his eyes. His only hope, and worry, was that there might be a shifter out there that was hurt or starving and couldn’t shift back to get food.
Fyn was concerned that there was a shifter that might need help.
“Those look awful!” Rowan exclaimed, bringing him out of his thoughts. “What would do such a thing?!”
Fyn didn’t want to lie to her, but he knew he couldn't tell her the truth. It would breed fear in her for the shifter community, even if she believed him at all.
