The Alpha's Return

He was bleeding. A hand through his chest. He looked back and said with a hoarse voice. "Why? You were my Beta." His own right hand smiled. "Because I know that I can become the alpha if I kill you myself." ----------------------------------------- This is my first novel in this particular format, with werewolves and vampires. Celebrity Arrivals

At Michael's lair,

Everyone was scrambling at the warehouse. The workers had been instructed to prepare for the arrival of a few guests, and they did not know who was coming. At the entrance, Michael stood, tensed.

"Wow, boss. I never saw you so tensed before.", Maria commented.

"Shut up. Are the accommodations ready?", Michael asked her.

"Sure. I don't get it. Who the hell is coming, for you to spend twenty thousand dollars on hotel suites?", she asked.

"You'll know once you see them.", Michael sighed.

"I met them before? Wait, how many people are even coming?"

"That's highly unlikely. But I am sure that you will recognize them. I can't say how many will come though. If they care about the rest of the world, maybe they'll come. Else, we can just kiss out deposits goodbye." Michael laughed.

"That's highly unlikely. But I am sure that you will recognize them. I can't say how many will come though. If they care about the rest of the world, maybe they'll come. Else, we can just kiss out deposits goodbye." Michael laughed.

Maria looked at Michael weirdly. But, she just shook her head and turned away. All of a sudden, a loud noise came from nowhere. All the men just turned their heads up, to the source of the sound. A huge helicopter could be seen descending.

"You failed to mention that they would be coming by helicopter.", Maria scoffed.

"Well, I was not in charge of their transportation. I just needed them to come here. It's after they land that I become the host.", Michael shrugged.

The helicopter landed in front of the gate. The blades stopped turning, and the door hissed open. Out came two people, a man, and a woman. They were dressed quite formally, as if they were coming for a business meeting. Light shined on their sunglasses, and they walked towards Michael. The woman stepped forward and shook Michael's hand.

"I came as fast as I could. Is it true? He's awake again?", the woman asked.

"Come in, we'll speak about this in detail. Are the others coming today, or later?", Michael asked.

"Don't ask me. You should call them. Where is Lucas? I don't see him anywhere.", she asked him, taking her glasses off.

"Well, about that...", Michael smiled bitterly.

"He's not with you?", the woman asked, shocked. The man behind her put his hand on her shoulder and told her to calm down. He said, with a deep voice, "Let's talk inside. It's not good to talk about the sensitive details out in the open."

Michael nodded, and they went inside the warehouse. It seemed that Michael had prepared for the meeting, because there was a room with a table and a few chairs, and it was definitely not there when Lucas was here.

"Take a seat.", Michael gestured. Maria stood behind him. The woman and the man sat side by side, and the man took off his glasses.

"Wait a minute. I know you two! You are Angela and Raphael, the co-stars of the hit movie, "The Golden Throne!", Maria exclaimed. The woman chuckled.

"Looks like I have a few fans here as well."

"Important matters first. Lucas told me that he awoke. After that, he told me that he was going to go somewhere for a few weeks to take care of something.", Michael said.

"And you couldn't stop him?", Raphael asked.

"Do you think I would try? I would be a fool to go against Lucas even without a few buffs. Now, he is probably at his strongest in fifty years. Look around you. Everyone is still a pup. Do you really think that I would sacrifice them for nothing?", Michael scoffed. Maria's hand trembled. It wasn't always that their own leader looked down on them. First the mysterious guest a month ago, and then, her boss himself.

"Well then, what happened? Something must have changed. The red wolf does not wake for no reason at all.", Angela asked.

"He was betrayed by his beta.", Michael said.

Tssk. The both of them sucked in cold air. "That's harsh, even for him. No wonder Fenrir woke up. The blood lust would have been intense."

"Intense? Try red. His eyes turned red.", Michael said, raising his voice.

Angela got up immediately. "Red? Michael, do you even understand what you're saying? These are the exact events that happened on that day. This is a very important matter.", she shouted at Michael.

Michael crossed his legs, and took a cup from the table in front of him. He sipped the tea within and calmly said, "I warned Lucas of the same thing, and he disregarded my warnings. Now, I have no idea where he even is."
