Chapter 33 UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER

I left the kid to think about what I said and walked to Alex.

"He is not a kid"

He began.

"And also, he is of royal bloodline"

"What"

A Royal bloodline, and not a kid, what shocking news is this.

"What is he doing here all alone in the territory of the vampires, without guards, if he is of Royal bloodline like you said, he will be protected considering how small he is"

I said and Alex signed.

"He is not a kid"

He insisted on that fact.

"What do you mean, it is obvious he is a kid"

I asked.

"He was poisoned?"

"What, poisoned?"

"Yes, he was poisoned by a rare kind of poison that will make his body not to grow and remain like that of a kid"

"What, is there such a poison in this realm, how come I haven't heard of it"

"Yes there is, and by the looks of things, I think he has been poisoned long ago and his body is beginning to shrink, it will continue shrinking till it reaches the size of a newly born baby if not given the antidote and that is the final stage, he will die as soon as he shrank to the size of a baby"

"What!"

I am more shocked by this, he will shrink to the size of a baby, is there such  a thing in this realm.

"Yes, but that might not likely be the case, he might die if this continues....."

"Is there a cure for this poison"

I asked anxiously, but he just narrowed his eyes which was slightly bloodshot at me.

"Do you care that much for him..."

"Shouldn't I"

"You...."

"Just stop it, in

fact he is coming with us"

"No way"

"Yes, he is coming with us"

I retorted and walked away towards the direction of the kid.

KING ALEX POV.

I narrowed my eyes at her, why is she so adament on taking the kid with us, why would she suddenly care so much for a man she just met, I don't understand and knowing he is not a kid but a fully grown man, didn't sit well with me.

"Do you care that much for him..."

I didn't even know when this question left my lips.

"Shouldn't I"

Came here reply, she cares so much a man she just met.

"You..."

"Just stop it, in fact, he is coming with us"

"No way"

I rejected immediately, I can't have him in this journey, I can't have him interrupt our time together, that's not gonna happen.

"Yes, he is coming with us"

She said and walked away majestically toward the direction of  the 'kid', she bent to his position, her face almost touching his, at the sight before me, I burned with fury, I didn't know when i walked towards them, lifted the boy up and threw him far away, into the bush.

"Alex"

Catori screamed my name with panic stricken voice as she ran towards the direction I threw the last, who is lying down scrunching in pains.

"Alex, what is wrong with you, do you want to kill him?"

She yelled at me wit an angry voice.

"Yes"

I answered honestly, I really want to kill him now, the way she looked at the kid just had me flared up.

"We are staying here for some days, i have to treat his injuries, so that he can be able to walk with us"

She said while supporting the boy up.

"But Mato..."

"You want to stay here and take care of him while I go into the vampire kingdom to get the herb?"

"No, you can't go in alone, but.."

"Look, Alex,  am also worried

about Mato, I won't let him die, we will get the herb eventually but first someone is dying here and it is all your fault, so we have to tend to him"

She said angrily and I lowered my head, at a loss for what to say.

"It will hurt so bad now, but you just have to bear with it okay!"

She said gently to the kid which made me frown but there is nothing I can do about it, if I say another word and it ended up agitating he again, I really can't stand the consequences. I chuckled, am the unbeatable and most powerful alpha of all the packs, but here am I, scared of my mate's wrath.

"Don't touch me"

The 'kid' sreamed, breaking me out of my trance, I walked towards him boiling I anger, how dare he talk to my mate like that, is either he is stupid or very stupid.

"Alex, don't do anything stupid again"

Catori said with an angry expression and I paused, I glared at the kid but he just rolled his eyes at me. I walked up to them.

"I know that you are not a kid, it is just a poison"

Catori said to the 'kid' gently.

"I also know that you are of a  Royal bloodline"

This time the 'kid' was shocked as he turned towards me and I smirked at him.

"Did you tell you that"

"Yes he did, he is an Alpha"

"Catoriii"

I called her, angry that she disclosed my identity so easily, but she just ignored me.

"What is your name"

The 'kids' is yet to get over the shock that am an alpha and he didn't seem to hear Catori just now, he just stared at me in a daze.

"You are an alpha"

"Yes l am"

I said arrogantly, smirking at him, this is the first time am feeling very proud of being an Alpha. He wanted to stand up but Catori held him down.

"Don't move, you will tear open your wounds"

She said gently, it is then that the 'kid' seem to come out of his trance state as he stared at her sharply.

"If he is the Alpha, that means you are the Luna, an Alpha and a Luna abandoned their kingdom to come out and play, you guys are so....."

Catori laughed and flicked his forehead.

"What are you thinking, who says am the luna, am not the Luna, as you said before, am a witch, am the high priestess of our kingdom, not the Luna"

I frowned at her answer.
