Chapter 22 Step-parents

Liam slapped Emma in her butt.

Emma was in so much pain that tears welled up in her eyes. ‘Damn it, how could this bastard slap my butt?’ she silently thought.

A flamboyant sports car parked at the entrance of the restaurant flashed when it was unlocked. Liam pushed the woman on his shoulder to the passenger seat, threw her in, and closed the door.

Before Emma could react, Liam had already sat in the driver's seat. Under the dim blue light of the car lights, the man's face was tightened, like a beast that was about to attack at any time, making people dare not provoke him.

He started the sports car in a domineering manner and rushed to the intersection ahead.

Emma sat aside and didn't dare to look at him, let alone speak. She secretly wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with her fingers and kept her eyes out on the road through the window beside her.

"I hate him, he's freaking mental," Emma said to Rue.
