The Aeternus Universe

The year of humanity is 2415, and DDVR and VRMMORPG's are commonplace now. It's extremely hard for a new game to come out and be successful. The greats of these genres have ruled for a few centuries now. A new game is releasing soon, and it has promise to be one of those. The Aeternus Universe. A Virtual Reality game has what you would expect from a game in this genre. However, some things make it special. One of those being the exploration and adventure through galaxies and The Aeternus Universe. Other games in this genre take it to fantasy and medieval times. This is set in a universe where there are super advanced technologies, spaceships, and Mecha suits—lost Alien tech ready to be found and claimed. Some of these all come together. The story starts 2 days before the release of the game, and with our protagonist—a 20-year-old male by the name of Scott Autumn. He is one of the few jumping from the current major game to this one. Seeing its potential for greatness and chance to be one of the biggest games on the market.

~~~(POV: Scott Autumn)~~~
[Durado's Pursuit PT.1][Completed!]
[You and Durado are going to find out everything you can on Heroor regarding his daughter.]
[EXP: 88,000]
[Credits: Whatever you can steal from Teller-Bravo on Heroor]
[Bonus Reward discovered!]
[Primordium Dreadnaught Immortalitas Rewarded!]
I finish reading the completed quest, and I've discovered a new thing about the rewards that come from the system. Some of them are hidden.
I've got a decent amount of EXP, and I can use that to upgrade Autumn's Fall in places to make it better, but since Immortalitas is mine now, I can also use EXP to upgrade the Dreadnaught further.
It doesn't need any repairs. It's still in perfect condition. I can see where it could use some upgrades, which means I'll have to choose which one I want to upgrade. The ship enters hyperspace heading towards the destination. I open my player information.
[Scott Autumn (Lone Wolf)]
[Race: Primordium]
[Exp: 105,500]
[Credits: 193,000,000]
[Traits]
[Hyperthymesia] [Eidetic Memory] [Tech Speak] [Unquantifiable IQ] [Indimidating Genius] [Unparalled Problem-Solving]
I'll have to investigate what I can truly do with EXP after I'm done taking a break. My current exhaustion is high, and while Durado is busy interrogating Larzacks, I'm not going to do anything until we arrive at the destination.
There are about 5 minutes until we arrive, and knowing Durado, it's somewhere isolated and unexplored. My massive new ship is going to be impossible to hide, and he knows that. So I know we're heading to an unoccupied system. There is something I want to check out. I pull up the information on Immortalitas.
[Dreadnaught Immortalitas][Potential Locked]
[Designer: Unknown]
[Original Owner: Unknown]
[Current Owner: Scott Autumn]
[Combat Capabilities: No need for reload or refueling of weapons. All weapons are on standby and ready for activation. Shields are fully operational.]
[Size and design: 21 Kilometers long. Wedge-shaped and capable of supporting a full crew of 12,000. Currently being manned by automated systems and drones.]
[Age: 180,000,000 years]
[Intimidation Rating: Max]
Some things are exclusive to a ship this size by the looks of it. Autumn's Fall doesn't have an intimidation rating, and I can speculate what it means. I'm wondering why the system hasn't explained it to me yet.
Not forgetting another interesting piece of information. Potential Locked is not something I've seen or heard about yet. Perhaps there are further developments that Immortalitas can undergo. I can't know for sure, but this is what I think at the moment.
This Dreadnaught is capable of destroying stars and black holes of all sizes.
Not to mention the fact it can annihilate a planet. I hope I never have to use such weapons, but it's nice to know I have them. The ship exits hyperspace, and we're floating above a massive gas giant.
There are no signs of life in the entire system based on the scans coming in. Completely isolated and safe. I place the Immortalitas on standby, and I log out. Durado is going to be busy, and I need a break from all the action.
The lid of my gaming pod hisses open, and I exit. I'm very hungry, and I'm in need of a drink too.
If I were in there any longer, I probably would've been warned that I need to eat and drink. Cutting it close, and that's a habit I picked up from mom and dad. I immediately undress and jump into the shower. I do need one. I've been gaming for several hours.
After fully cleaning myself, I make my way to the living room and notice that it's empty. Not that my things have been taken, but Jessica is nowhere to be found. She's either asleep or gaming herself. She's not in many places, if not the living room or her bedroom.
I hope that Durado gets some of the answers he needs and that he takes his time. Larzacks is an important official in the power structure of Teller-Bravo.
They're not going to let him go without a fight. He's too important. I wouldn't be surprised if Heroor is now crawling with Teller-Bravo fleets.
They're not going to find us, but when we do, move to a populated system. It's going to be a little hectic. Immortalitas is probably the strongest ship in The Aeternus Universe right now.
