Chapter 2

Months went by, our friendship truned in to love and grew stronger. We were the happiest we had ever been. But one day, everything changed. Lily got sick. I thought it was just a cold, but it turned out to be something much worse. She was diagnosed with a rare disease, and there was no cure.

I was devastated. I couldn't imagine life without Lily. I spent every moment with her, holding her hand and telling her how much i loved her. But one afternoon, she passed away.

I was in a state of shock. I was no longer the same person - i had lost the one i loved most in this world. I was filled with sorrow, anger, and confusion. I couldn't understand why this happened to us. So i kept asking myself, why did this happen?

My heart was broken beyond repair. I had never felt pain like this before. Everywhere i looked in town reminded me of the love of my life, Lily. I had no idea how i was going to go on without her. I tried to distract himself with other activities, but nothing could take away the pain in my heart.

I began to withdraw from my family and friends, i refused to talk to anyone. All i could think about was Lily and all the wonderful memories we had shared together. I would spend hours looking at old pictures of us and reading old love letters she had written me.

I was desperate to feel any sort of connection to her, so i decided to visit all the places we had gone together. Everywhere we went, i felt her presence, but it only brought me more pain.

I was struggling to find a way to cope with my grief. So i tried to find solace in the things she had left behind, but it was never enough. I knew that no matter how hard i tried, i would never be able to fill the void left by her absence.

Everything reminded me of her. Her favorite books, her jewelry, her clothes - they all brought back memories that made my heart ache. I was lost and alone, unable to move on without her.

One day, as i was sorting through her thingsas usual, i came across an old journal she had kept i had never seen this before. I hesitated before opening it, afraid of what i might find inside. But as i read through her words, i felt a sense of peace wash over me. She had written a heartfelt letter to me.

Dear Jack,

As I write this letter, I am aware that my time on this earth is limited. I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest love and gratitude for you. You have been my rock through thick and thin, and I cannot imagine going through this journey without you by my side.

I want you to know that I have cherished every moment we have spent together. From our first date to our last, you have brought so much joy and happiness into my life. I will forever be grateful for the memories we have created.

As I prepare to leave this world, I want you to promise me one thing. Promise me that you will continue to live your life to the fullest. Do not let my passing hold you back from achieving your dreams and aspirations. Remember that I will always be with you in spirit, cheering you on every step of the way.

Please know that I love you more than words can express. You have been my everything, and I will carry you with me always.

After reading the letter all i could do was go down with tearful eyes.
