14. Freya Mikaelson

CHAPTER XIV: FREYA MIKAELSON

So Freya and I sat in the tavern of her father. When I heard her name my first thought was the hot chick from The Originals. It would be a problem if she was really the sister of Klaus. I'm certain its only because the name is Viking Mythology.

Next and probably should have been first is the second mission. Whoever is giving me this missions, thank you bro! It will definitely help with the motivation, not that I needed it.

I mean just look at her. I already have a hard on by looking at that oppai covered in that tight leather vest.

"So... about yesterday?" I quickly asked before I got a manga like nosebleed.

"Firstly... I wanted to thank you for yesterday." She began as I took a sip of sake.

It's weird taste has grown on me but the meat could use more spice. The bread is also hard as a rock. If I knew more about what and all that, I'd probably make better bread and get rich without the quests.

"You're welcome but like I said. I did it expecting something in return. I'm no Hero to go randomly saving people!" I said honestly.

The sake gave me more confidence or should I say helped not to overthink.

"Of course, I didn't forget!" She hastily answered. "Which brings me to our main topic of conversation. The Lady Helena requested your presence and talk of the favour as it were."

Lady Helena huh? So I was right, a noble. The other knights and Freya probably talked about my feats yesterday. I might be over thinking this but I've seen around movies and anime to be wary. This is likely somekind of exploitative play to properly observe and study me. Using that to find an appropriate course of action to take care of me.

Like I said, I might be over thinking this or maybe I'm doing the opposite. This is my life and I might not get another chance again. With my mind I look up to Freya who silently waited for my response.

"Request denied Freya! If your LADY friend wants to meet me she must come herself. I don't like to be ordered around!

With my goblet of sake I stand up to live.

"Unless she doesn't value her life." I add before walking away.

So what exactly is my next course of action? I think I'm still over thinking this but it's better to be save and thorough. It's an annoying habit I have whenever it comes to women. My point however should get across quite obviously. I will be doing this on my terms.

Good thing is they saw my strength, even Freya. They will not take me lightly and I will do the same. I can already sense her living the inn.

That was a really risky move on my part but I can't fully judge it without more information. A pattern is forming here. Without proper information my actions and choices are severely limited. At times like this I really miss the internet.

Before reaching my room I decided to turn around and order another goblet. I came up with my dinner which was the same as yesterday. A plate of rice and greens plus another plate with dry bread and salty soup with meat pieces.

I really can't stand the bland food of this world. Aren't there spices here. Maybe this Rostalio is too poor. I need to stock up on cash before I live this place. There is a whole world to see.

I'm guessing that my missions will take me all over the place. In the highly likely case that happens. I have to get a lot of cash fast.

After dinner I lit up the lanterns and started my meditation training. Something I've seen Goku and really any master of Martial Arts do. After the intense physical training he rests his body and focuses his mind on the mental training. To master your own body.

Well that's as far as I know. What exactly do you do when you meditate? Last night when I came home, all I did was practise moving the Ki Energy all around my body.

Concentrating it in certain areas while releasing it to surround me in a brilliant aura.

I proceeded to just sit on the bed and calmed my mind. Trying to increase my sensing radius. Trying to identify each and every person I can sense within and around the inn.

After I don't know how long, I get bored so I return to experimenting with Ki. Time passed by as I continue to experiment.

Hmmm... that's a familiar presence I can sense. I open my eyes and notice the lanterns are still lit but it's long passed dark.

I turn my attention to the presence. No... she's not alone, there are two of them. Obviously one is Freya but the other one is familiar too. As I continue to monitor they enter the inn. Immediately coming upstairs. I see... well this night just might get interesting.

So the question is am I getting laid or am I getting ambushed. Freya seems to powers elemental magic but I've yet to see her in actual combat. Either way I'm ready. The only thing I'm worried about is I have yet to see any power houses. So I don't know I compare at my current strength.

I think I'm around the strength of Goku after his first budokai but I'm still not sure. For him Ki control came naturally but it's still too hard for me. Maybe it's because of my habit of over thinking it all. My body still doesn't feel like it's one with my Ki. Of course there isn't a manual for this but I think I went too far with the physical strength.

Meaning I have to get the Ki to the same level as my physical strength before I join the elites. Doing it so that it becomes natural. So that I won't have to think about every action. I guess it would help if I was an airhead. From watching martial arts movies and anime that will only come from time training and practising. A lot of battle experience as well.
