That Time I Got Reincarnated With Gacha System In Mahabharata

(This Story Takes Place In AU So, Don't Expect To Go Things As It Was In the Original Mahabharat.) Hindu x Greek x Norse (Mythologies Included) ******************* My name is Aditya. I am a seventeen-year-old who used to live in Kurukshetra, Haryana, and, of course, an orphan. Life was ordinary until a tragic accident took me away from the modern world—only to be reborn in a time I had only read about in history books: the Mahabharata era. As for how I got to this conclusion? Well, the answer to that question lies with the man-god sitting far away from me with a mischievous smile on his handsome face—Lord Krishna. It seems my memories awakened at a significant moment: the Swayamvara of Draupadi. Standing amidst an assembly of kings and warriors, I watch as Karna is insulted and humiliated for his lower caste. The tension in the air was palpable, and I realized that I was witnessing one of the most pivotal events in the Mahabharata. My heart raced with both excitement and dread. But as I tried to process this, something even stranger happened—a voice echoed in my mind. [Welcome, User! You have activated the Gacha System.] What on earth? Or rather, what in the Mahabharata? Before I could even fully comprehend the situation, I felt a strange pull within me, like an invisible force connecting me to something far greater. The system interface appeared in front of my eyes, listing various abilities, weapons, and companions—all locked behind a gacha mechanism. Apparently, I had been reincarnated not just as a mere observer but with a cheat ability straight out of a video game. The Gacha System allowed me to draw random skills, weapons, or even templates from the grand pool of every mythological lore. But there was a catch: each draw required "Fate Points," and earning those points meant altering the events of this world. As I stood there, watching the unfolding drama with Karna, I realized that I was no longer just a bystander. I had the power to change history, for better or worse. But meddling with destiny in such a grand tale came with unimaginable consequences. What if I anger the gods? What if I change the fate of heroes like Arjuna, Karna, or Bhishma? The weight of it all hit me like a thunderbolt. Still, one thing was certain—I couldn't let things play out the way they did in the original story, not if I had the power to make things right. With the Gacha System at my side, I had the chance to rewrite the Mahabharata itself. But I needed to be cautious. Lord Krishna’s knowing gaze seemed to pierce through me as if he already knew about my unique circumstances. Was he testing me? Guiding me? Or simply waiting to see how my actions would shape the future? Then let's start with this event itself. ********************** Disclaimer: Remember, this is a fanfiction about Mahabharata. Not "Original" Mahabharata. I have no intention to harm anyone's religious belief, I am just writing a what-if story from my perspective. If you don't like it, So I kindly request you not read further this.

Chapter No.12 Serious Talk And Revelation

[Aditya's POV]

My body moved on its own, as I found myself kneeling before Lord Krishna with my head touching the ground.

"Rise, Aditya," Lord Krishna said softly, his voice soothing yet commanding. "There is no need for such formalities between us."

I lifted my head slowly, meeting his gaze. His eyes were filled with a kindness that both reassured and unnerved me. There was an infinite depth in them, as though he could see every thought, every fear that churned within me.

"Well, Back in my past life. Your craze is quite something as people would often debate whether you were a myth, a legend, or a true deity," I said, my voice trembling slightly as I recalled the fervent discussions and devotions from my previous world. "I never imagined I would actually stand before you like this."

"So, Am I right to assume the life you are talking about is from Kaliyug?" Lord Krishna asked as the smile disappeared and a serious expression replaced it.

"Yes," I replied, gathering my thoughts. "In Kaliyug, you were often depicted as a figure of love and mischief, but also as a guide in times of moral decline. People spoke of your teachings, your role in the Mahabharata, and how you helped the Pandavas navigate their trials."

"Indeed," he nodded, his expression thoughtful. "The tales told in Kaliyug are filled with complexities, just as life itself is. But tell me, Aditya, how did you end up here? Much less playing with Niyati (Destiny)."

I took a deep breath, trying to steady the whirlpool of emotions inside me. "It's… complicated. I was just an ordinary person, living my life, when I died in a tragic accident... I was hit by a speeding truck... you know what truck is, right?"

Lord Krishna chuckled softly, a hint of mischief returning to his eyes. "I am aware of many things, Aditya, including the marvels and tragedies of the Kaliyug you speak of. So, you were struck down by a metal beast on wheels. And then what?"

I felt the heat of embarrassment rise to my cheeks. "After that, I found myself in a state of blankness. There was nothing in sight just pure darkness, I don't know how much time I stayed in there, but eventually, a faint glow pierced through the darkness, illuminating the edges of my void. Moving toward me like a flaming meteorite and before I could fully comprehend the sudden change, the light stuck me."

I continued, "A burning pain originated from the depths of my soul and spread like wildfire throughout my being. I felt as if I was being torn apart and rebuilt in an instant after that something happened and I was already sitting in the throne room of Panchala among other Kings, Monarchs and Warriors who came to win Princess Draupadi's hand in marriage."

"Can I know what that something was, Aditya?" Lord Krishna asked, his tone curious yet serious. "What did you experience when you transitioned from the void to the throne room?"

'System, Can I tell Lord Krishna about you?' I asked the system inwardly while with the help of Acting Mastery, my face remained the same outside.

[You can share information about me with Lord Krishna. However, No one else could know about my existence without your permission.]

I nodded slightly, feeling a mix of relief and apprehension. "Well, it seems I was granted a sort of… system. You know... what system is, right?"

Lord Krishna's brow arched slightly, a hint of intrigue dancing in his eyes. "A system? In Kaliyug, such things were spoken of in whispers—mechanisms of fate and fortune, aiding mortals in their quests. It seems that even in this age, the threads of destiny remain entangled with the desires of the soul."

I nodded, encouraged by his understanding. "Yes, it's like having a guide or a mentor that provides me with information, skills, and tasks to complete. It's strange because, back in my world, I used to play games that involved systems like this. I thought it was just a figment of fantasy, but here I am, living it."

He leaned forward slightly, an inviting smile appearing once more. "And how has this system aided you, Aditya? Have you felt its influence in your actions thus far?"

"Well, The system I have is called 'Gacha System'. In which I get to draw various types of rewards and abilities through random chance. Each draw is like a lottery, but instead of money, I spend points namely—Fate Points. And my reincarnation I was given three free draws in which I got the powers of a foreign god, Legacy of Primordial Warriors—and... Acting Mastery," I concluded, my heart racing with the weight of what I had just revealed. The way Lord Krishna's expression shifted, a blend of interest and seriousness, made me feel like I was standing naked before him, exposing my soul.

"Acting Mastery?" he repeated, tilting his head slightly. "That sounds fascinating. Tell me more about it."

"It's a skill that allows me to imitate emotions and expressions flawlessly, essentially enabling me to blend in with any situation," I explained, trying to keep my excitement in check. "It's like I can step into the shoes of different personas, be it a noble warrior, a cunning strategist, or even a grieving lover. It helps me navigate the complexities of this world, especially with its political machinations and interpersonal relationships."

Lord Krishna nodded, his expression contemplative. "In a world as layered as this one, being able to understand and adapt to the emotions of others is invaluable. However, tell me, do you think relying on such a system is wise? Does it not run the risk of you losing your own essence in the act of imitation?"

His question struck a chord within me. I had often pondered the same issue, the thin line between using my abilities and becoming too entwined with them. "It's a delicate balance," I admitted. "While the system offers incredible power, I constantly remind myself that I must stay true to who I am. I have to harness these gifts to shape my destiny, not let them shape me. Otherwise, I could end up lost in a web of lies."

A soft smile broke across his face, warmth radiating from him like sunlight piercing through the clouds. "You possess wisdom beyond your years, Aditya. The path of life is indeed a dance of masks and mirrors. However, the truth of one's heart must always remain the core from which all actions stem."

"What about that foreign god's power, can you elaborate on that? What exactly does it grant you?" Lord Krishna asked, his curiosity evident in his tone.

I took a moment to gather my thoughts, considering how to explain the nuances of my newfound abilities. "The name of that god is Apollo—The Sun God of Greek Mythology. His abilities revolve around healing, archery, music, truth, beauty, and sun."

"Ah, this Apollo seems like a figure of many talents, The sun is a symbol of clarity and illumination, often representing the pursuit of truth and beauty. If it is god's power then are you immortal too or you will become immortal after you get more attuned with those powers?"

"Amazing, Lord Krishna you deduced all this in just a few moments!" I exclaimed, genuinely impressed. "But as for immortality, it seems I'm not quite there yet. I have access to his healing abilities, which can mend wounds and even cure ailments, but I haven't reached a level where I can claim true immortality. I believe it's something I might attain as I grow stronger and gain a deeper understanding of Apollo's essence and powers."

Lord Krishna nodded thoughtfully. "The journey towards understanding such profound abilities is often as important as the power itself. The cultivation of wisdom, empathy, and strength often leads to a form of immortality far beyond the mere cessation of physical death."

His words lingered in my mind, creating a tapestry of thoughts and reflections. "I suppose you're right. Every experience, and every trial shapes who we are. It's all part of the process."

With a gentle smile, Lord Krishna leaned back slightly, seeming pleased. "Tell me, How do you earn those fate points?"

As I felt the weight of Lord Krishna's gaze on me, I took a moment to gather my thoughts before answering. "I earn Fate Points by completing tasks assigned to me by the system, overcoming challenges, and changing the fates of others. It's like a reward system for navigating the trials and tribulations of this world. The more significant the challenge or the more profound the change in destiny I create, the greater the number of Fate Points I receive. This encourages me to take risks and make impactful decisions, even if they come with great personal cost."

"So, Am I right to assume that you got a task related to changing Draupadi's fate of marrying Pandavas?" Lord Krishna asked, his eyes narrowing with interest.

I hesitated for a moment, feeling the weight of the situation. "Yes, that's correct. My system presented me with the task of altering the fate of Draupadi and her marriage to the Pandavas. The task is for me to marry Draupadi—"

But before I could continue a heavy pressure began to envelop the atmosphere. I could feel a shift in the energy around us as if the very fabric of reality had tightened in anticipation of something significant. Lord Krishna's expression became serious, his demeanour shifting from one of curiosity to a profound intensity.

"Aditya," he said slowly, measuring each word. "You are attempting to intervene in a fate that is not yours alone to change. The marriage of Draupadi to the Pandavas is not merely a matter of personal choice; it is intertwined with the destinies of many, and the ripples of such an alteration can be vast and unpredictable. Do you understand the weight of what you are proposing?"

His words hit me like a thunderbolt, making me acutely aware of the implications of my actions. I had thought of this as a game, a challenge set before me by the system, but the reality of it—the lives at stake, the paths I could potentially derail—suddenly felt overwhelming.

"I... I understand, Lord Krishna," I replied, my voice steadier than I felt. "But I also believe that fate can be rewritten. Perhaps there is a way to honour Draupadi's choice without completely unravelling the tapestry of destiny. After all, I have the power to reshape my own path and help others do the same."

His gaze softened, but the gravity of his earlier statement lingered in the air. "You possess a strong will and vision, Aditya. However, it is essential to tread carefully in the dance of fate. The decisions you make not only affect you but resonate through time, touching countless lives. The choice to marry Draupadi could lead to unforeseen consequences for the Pandavas, for her, and for you. Have you considered how this would change your life and the lives of those involved?"

I paused, grappling with the weight of his questions. "I have thought about it, but I believe that if I approach this situation with sincerity and compassion, I can navigate those consequences. Draupadi deserves a life filled with love, not bound by duty or fate. If I can be a part of her happiness—"

"—is that happiness genuine if it is shaped by that system or your own?" Lord Krishna's probing question lingered in the air, wrapping around my thoughts like a vine. I swallowed hard, the sincerity of his gaze forcing me to confront the very essence of my motivations.

"Is it genuine?" I repeated softly, reflecting on my own words. "I suppose that's the crux of it, isn't it? Can I truly offer her happiness if my intentions are shaped by an external force? If I'm just a pawn in this game, can anything I do be considered sincere?"

But when my thoughts focused on the conversation I had with Draupadi before coming here, My doubts started to clear up as a fond smile spread across my face.

"It seems you got your answer," I heard and as lifted my head to look at Lord Krishna I saw an encouraging and teasing smile on his face.

"Yes, I think I do," I said, confidence building within me. "Draupadi is more than just a prize to be won; she is a woman with her own dreams, desires, and choices. If my heart is true, then my actions can align with that truth. I want to be someone who can support her, not just fulfill a task set by a system."

Lord Krishna nodded, a glimmer of approval in his eyes. "Remember, Aditya, the heart knows its own path. The complexities of love and duty are often intertwined, but it is the purity of your intentions that will guide your actions. However, be prepared for the challenges that lie ahead, as the world around you will test the strength of your resolve."

"Challenges?" I echoed, feeling a familiar rush of adrenaline. "I've faced plenty already, and I'm ready for more. What should I expect?"

"The world of dharma is a battlefield where moral dilemmas often collide," he replied. "As you navigate your journey, you will encounter forces that wish to maintain the status quo, those who will oppose your efforts to change fate. Some may see your actions as a threat to the balance that has existed for ages. Prepare to face not only external conflicts but also the shadows within yourself that may emerge in times of trial."

I nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "I understand. I've faced my share of opposition and uncertainty. I will stay true to my path and protect Draupadi and my choices with everything I have."

"Good," Lord Krishna said, his smile returning, brightening the atmosphere. "Trust in your instincts, but also be willing to seek guidance and wisdom from those around you. Even the greatest warriors know that unity is strength."

As I absorbed his words, a thought struck me. "You know, Lord Krishna, I've always admired your ability to weave through the complexities of human emotions and conflicts. You navigated the Mahabharata with such grace. If I could even come close to emulating that, it would be a victory for me."

"Hahahaha~ I try to maintain balance, even when it seems impossible. But remember, Aditya, every person has their own unique path to walk. While you can learn from my experiences, do not forget to carve your own way. Your story will be different from the Mahabharata, and that's what makes it beautiful."

"I appreciate that advice," I replied, feeling a warmth bloom within me. "I guess I have to find my own way to approach things, using what I've learned and adapting it to my circumstances."

"Now, I should leave let you have some rest, tomorrow you have your own marriage to attend~" His playful tone brought a smile to my face, easing the tension that had built up during our conversation. The thought of the marriage ceremony loomed ahead, and while it felt daunting, I also recognized it as an opportunity—a chance to forge a new destiny not just for myself, but for Draupadi as well.

"Thank you, Lord Krishna," I said, my voice steady. "I will remember your words and carry them with me into the future."

With a nod, he walked towards the door while I followed closely to open the gates for him.

As I pushed open the heavy gates, a rush of fresh air greeted me, mingling with the faint scent of jasmine and sandalwood lingering in the courtyard. The dark corridor in the night looked more inviting in the moonlight, casting ethereal shadows that danced along the stone walls. I stepped out, letting the cool breeze wash over me, invigorating my senses and sharpening my focus.

Lord Krishna paused at the threshold, turning back to me with a thoughtful expression. "Remember, Aditya, You can always come talk to me about your situation. I will always be here for you when you need guidance. But ultimately, the path you choose will be yours alone."

"Thank you, Lord Krishna. Your presence brings me peace," I replied sincerely, feeling a mix of gratitude and responsibility.

He nodded, his eyes sparkling with a wisdom that seemed to transcend time. "Trust in yourself, and let your heart lead you forward. The universe aligns for those who pursue their truths."

I leaned forward to bow but instead was pulled into a heartfelt hug that caught me off guard.

"Remember," Lord Krishna whispered, his voice warm and encouraging, "I am always with you, If you ever feel that your resolve is wavering or your path seems unclear, just call upon me. I will be there to guide you, even if it's in subtle ways."

With that, he stepped back, a gentle smile lingering on his lips as he turned to leave. I watched him walk away, tears streaming down my face as a bright smile spread across my lips.

"He truly is something else~"
