Our Time to Shine against the Unbeatable duo!

It was already our turn, As we head inside the arena, Students kept cheering for both our teams.

I can clearly hear Kiba's voice shouting my name like crazy.

"Go Lulu! Show them what you've got!" Kiba yelled with excitement.

"Team 7 versus Team 8!" As the Commentator said and hyped the Audience.

Team 7: Me and Hailey, So I don't need to introduce it to you readers. Haha!

Team 8: Gon Auck, A human Sword Combatant just like me who wasn't an awakened mana user.

He had Black pointy short hair with chubby cheeks and Sharp eyes with a great body.

His Partner, Gun Auck, A human Advanced Stage Mana user, One of the geniuses and the twin brother of Gon while his hair was long, They're called the Auck brothers.

Instructor Michael then came forward at the stage and told the Fighters to draw out their weapons.

Then, Gon pulled out his sword along with Gun who pulled out his staff that amplifies magic spells.

Hailey pulled out her bow, and that shocked the crowd.

"Hey, She's a mana user right? She should have used a Magic staff."

"Yeah, why the bow though?"

As the crowd kept questioning Hailey's decision on using a bow rather than a Magic staff.

"An Archer Mana User! The first one I've seen! This is gonna be epic everyone!" As the commentator shouted filled with excitement.

"But, hey do you see that guy. Why doesn't he have any weapons with him?"

"Yeah, Is he gonna fight barehanded?"

As the students gossiped about me.

'Excalibur.' As I reached my hand and summoned my weapon.

A bright light appeared in my hand along with rumbling sounds, Then Excalibur appeared.

"WHAT!? A MAGICAL SWORD!?" As the Commentator Screamed in a shocking expression.

The students were shocked seeing a magical sword infront of them.

Magical swords are very rare in this world, Not even the Sword Saint Gallard of Emperium has one.

The Appearance of Excalibur struck them in awe.

But some complained.

'Hey, Isn't that cheating?' As Gon said.

"Yeah, Isn't Magical Swords powerful!?"

"Hell yeah. Even you can't find one like that in this days."

As the Students complained, how unfair of me using a Magical sword.

The Instructor then replied to the students complaints.

"You have been given the rights to choose your desired weapons before the tournament started, So it doesn't apply that the Magical sword Team 7's Sword combatant picked will be forbidden."

Then the students cheered again and wanted to see what a magical sword is capable of.

Both teams then prepared for their battle stances.

"Let the Match Begin!"

Gon, Immediately ran towards me while Gun casted wind spells to boost Gon's movements.

Hailey then used her Bow and fired Flame arrows towards Gon's direction, While I stood in a defensive stance infront of the rushing Gon.

The crowds began cheering as the battle started.

"A Magic arrow! Hailey's Elemental Manipulation must be outstanding to manipulate flaming arrows!" As the Commentator shouted and praised Hailey.

Since Manipulating Elements were very hard to do in this world, Visualizing and concentration to preserve the Element into it's precise image was a very hard thing to do for mana users in this world. Only a few outstanding mana users are capable of doing it.

That's why, Hailey was struggling on using Earth Arrows since she had low aptitude for Earth Element.

Gun then immediately used Wind spells to block the flame arrows that were casted towards Gon.

After Gon evaded the remaining arrows, He finally reached to where I stood and engaged in Close combat fight.

We exchanged blows, As I kept predicting his moves after I kept observing each of his movements.

I blocked everytime he swung his sword with brute force, While Hailey and Gun had a fierce competition with their Magic spells.

"What an unbelievable reflexes that small boy has!" As the Commentator shouted.

The Teachers were observing our fight very carefully, As the Audience cheered.

'Luna! Get him!' As Leon kept shouting.

'Don't lose Lulu!' As Kiba yelled.

The fast pace sword swings of Gon finally calmed as he noticed that none of his attacks went through.

"You're pretty nice huh." As Gon said while swinging his sword towards me.

I didn't bother on replying since I was too immersed on deflecting his attacks.

After blocking all of his attacks each time, I finally found an Opening and managed to stab him and cracked his crest.

After he received my attack he immediately widen the distance between us.

Hailey and Gun still kept on fighting with long range spells, While Hailey kept firing flame arrows towards him and Used wind spells to block most of Gun's fireballs.

The students became quiet, As they saw a stand off between Me and Gon.

"What Astonishing combatants this two! But Luna managed to hit Gon with his sword! Who will win between this two!? Will it be Gon or Luna!?" As the Commentator yelled.

The students shouted our names while we observed each other's next move.

Gon didn't carelessly attack after receiving a blow from me.

Hailey and Gun noticed us and stopped fighting immediately and headed towards our side.

'Gon, Why are you standing still?' As Gun asked.

'Proceed with our plan. They're good, We can't move carelessly.' Gon replied.

'Luna!' As Hailey called and went towards me.

'Let's do this, Hailey.' I said.

'You mean the battle plan?' She asked.

'Yeah, I guess splitting them won't be enough to defeat them.'

The Auck Brothers, Gon and Gun who had the best compatibility in all of Freedom Academy.

They were known as The sync. One time, Their teacher made them sparred and the two managed to beat all their sparring partners individually.

Then the Teacher tried to spar with them, fighting together.

So that's when the Auck Brothers got acknowledged by their teacher.

They defeated their Teacher with immense concentration and by using great combinations, Like they were in sync with each other.

Fighting together without even muttering a single word and would immediately understand each other's thoughts.

That's when they were dubbed as The Sync.

They were also candidates for winning the tournament.

The Auck Brothers who tried to play with us individually got serious.

Gon and Gun looked at us with a serious expression on their faces.

Hailey, prepared her bow with flame arrows as the Auck brothers observed us from afar, While I grabbed Excalibur with both of my hands.

Then in a blink of an eye, Gon was flying towards me, Boosted with Wind spell that Gun casted.

Hailey tried to shoot her arrows at Gon but it all missed, While Gon prepared his sword to swing as he got close to me.

I couldn't react and managed to just block it slightly while his attack hit me and made a small crack at my crest and blew me off.

As I flew after his powerful attack, They quickly engaged again without wasting any second.

Hailey who kept on shooting arrows wasn't able to stop their movements, They were both boosted with wind spell and increased their speed.

As I regained my posture, After lifting my head, Gon was already infront of me and was about to swing his sword.

So I hastily rolled to dodge it.

While Hailey's attention was focused at Gun who kept pressuring her while providing Wind spells to boost Gon's movements.

Hailey's concentration was being torn as she wanted to try and help me but couldn't, since Gun kept casting spells towards her.

The difference between them were huge, Gun was really good at his role. He was really among the top mana users in Freedom Academy.

I kept blocking the attacks of Gon, who kept swinging his sword towards me.

The crowd kept shouting their names as they mocked me who had a magical sword but still couldn't compete against Gon.

Millis kept pestering me to use my skills, But I disagreed.

I wanted to fight with only my swordsmanship.

As the battle lasted, I kept on exchanging blows with Gon while luring him further from Gun, Hailey and Gun had a Spell battle between them.

After memorizing Gon's attack pattern I finally found an opening.

Before he could swing his sword I immediately swung my sword in Gun's direction while releasing Electric attribute.

Gon thought that I've missed, since he was too immersed on the battle and didn't notice anything.

Gun who was also too focused at Hailey didn't manage to notice after the lightning got too close to him.

The ground crackled as the lightning's impact hit Gun and smoke scattered around the area after Gun tried to block it with a spell.

Gon immediately turned around to check, That's when Hailey shot flame arrows will shoot the last one, A wind arrow that had an invisible form when Gon's attention is at me again.

I swung my sword after his attention went to Gun, but he managed to block my attack and dodged the two flame arrows that Hailey shot.

His reflexes were commendable for evading all of those attacks within a second.

Gon jumped and shouted Gun's name to check if he was alright as he kept his eyes on me.

Gun reacted and shouted that he was fine while Hailey kept firing at him amidst the smoke infront of them, So Gon clenched his sword as he was at mid air slowly landing towards the ground.

I rushed towards him knowing that Hailey sent the signal.

Yesterday, after the first tournament ended.

We already knew who were the participants at the Sector B.

So we discussed on which opponent would really give us a hard time.

Hailey told me that it would be the Auck brothers.

So we planned alot of battle tactics to fight against those rumored brothers. But we didn't find any ways to easily beat them since they were rumored to be the greatest duo.

The partner of Annie which have always seen the Auck brother's fights told us about them.

On how they fight, They're movements.

But one thing we've learned, Is that they're overconfident.

They fight like elites and is overconfident with their talents.

Gon who's always aggressive doesn't mind his surroundings once he's immersed in the battle.

An attack that he can't see will surely let his guard down, That's when we planned and made a signal.

That's when, they get too focused on the battle, I'll use Excalibur's lightning attribute that'll surely be blocked by Gun and it'll create a smoke that'll cover Gun's vision since he has the best perception among them.

Then followed with Hailey, She'll shoots two flame arrows at the same time towards Gon, It'll be the signal that, the third arrow that she'll shoot is a wind arrow that has the invisible form.

Then she'll continue to grab Gun's attention by randomly shooting arrows through the smoke.

Gon who focused his attention towards me, got his back opened while Gun who was covered in smoke could not carelessly let his guard down knowing that Hailey might hit him if he let his guard down.

By the time Gon's feet landed on the ground, The wind arrow hit him directly at the back causing the crack on his crest to grow bigger, And the Impact of the arrow made him lean forward and lose his balance since he just landed.

By the time he lost his balance, I was already infront of him, about to swing my sword.

His concentration got screwed after receiving Hailey's sneak attack so he got his attention at the back for a moment while I managed to get an opening towards his careless act.

That's when he wasn't able to block my attack and completely broke his Crest, By the time his crest broke, Gun was already too late since he was too immersed on defending himself by Hailey's random attacks that still caused smoke since it was flame arrows that would cause smoke when being blocked by spells.

While Gun kept casting wind spells to remove the smoke, Hailey kept attacking him and that still caused smoke to cover his vision and grab his attention.

Gon fell on his knees after his crest broke, Since if the Crest breaks, the wielder of the crest won't be able to move and speak. It'll totally paralyze him and will only deactivate after the Match ends.

"He just swung his sword and released Lightning!"

"I told you that Magical swords are powerful!"

"Hey, was that an Invisible arrow that Hailey shot?"

"I don't know, I couldn't see anything."

"That was an invisible arrow I'm telling you!"

The crowd were stunned after that magnificent moment they've witnessed in just a matter of seconds.

Hailey who was already getting exhausted after randomly firing elemental arrows, stopped.

Gun immediately recovered his position after hailey stopped attacking.

Gun was furious and casted a binding spell at the exhausted hailey which subdued her movements and was about to release another powerful fireball to shoot towards her.

But little did he knew that their confidence will be the one that'll brought them to their defeat.

Since after regaining his position back, He was still confident that Gon was keeping me occupied.

So he himself focused his attention towards Hailey who kept pestering him the entire time.

That's when I got close towards him unnoticed after I took down Gon.

Before he could release the spell, I was already beside him, About to swing my sword with all my strength.

As my sword came in contact with his body, The crest's barrier cracked while Gun flew after receiving my attack, while unable to release his powerful spell.

Causing his crest to break and end the fight.

The entire audience were in awe, the arena went silent.

"Team 7 Wins!" As the commentator shouted.

The students who were being quiet the entire time started shouting, Cheering our names as the battle ended.

Many were shocked and questioned how I managed to release Lightning from swinging my sword.

"How did that lightning came out from his sword!?"

"Obviously it's a Magical sword!"

As the Students argued while cheering.

The teachers stood up and clapped for our magnificent performance.

"The Candidates for winning the Tournament! The Auck Brothers who were dubbed as the unbeatable duo! Lost in their first match!" As the Commentator hyped the audience with his hosting abilities.

"Luna! Luna! Luna! Luna!" As the crowd shouted my name.

It was my first time experiencing something like this, A fight that felt unwinnable, Cheers and praises after a hard earned victory. It was all new to me.

I felt really happy and also tired as I helped Hailey walk since she was too exhausted from using too much mana.

The Auck brothers went to us and complimented us for the great fight we've shown.

After that, we left the arena and that's how our first match ended.
