Phase 1 : The Water Bottle
"Order number 42", she called out, as she was giving the food over to the customer, a group of guys walked over, "can I get two bottles of water",the guy asked. I was confused as to why someone would come all the way here to buy water from here which is 1,433.48 won when he could've just bought it from Carrefour where they sell it for 340.45 won. "That will be 2,866.96 won" I said as I handed it over to him. I watched them walk away "haa must be fun to just play around while I'm here trying to make ends meet".
"atleast I get my paycheck soon" I stated as my shift came to an end "I'll be off then" I said as I left the restaurant ,I was staring at my phone for a few minutes as I noticed the time "oh sh*t I think if I run I might still make it in time for the bus" , "and ofcourse Im late" I said as I ran behind the bus I dint care if I got weird looks it's my noona's birthday and I wouldn't miss it for the world, finally the bus stopped I got in, the driver looked kind of pissed but I acted like I din't see that and went over to an empty seat, a few minutes in and I was just staring out of the window trying to entertain myself as I see a loud, fast red car rushing past the bus I got a quick glance of the people inside, it was him and his friends "no wonder he bought that water I guess he's just some rich kid" I mumbled to myself.
"but if they do end up coming again I bet our sales would grow",The bus came to a stop, I realised we are at a traffic signal and his car is right beside ours..they're all staring at me, did they perhaps hear what I just said?.."shiiiit" I said in a low tone trying to hide myself with my hat which obviously isn't working, I can feel they're stares..I wish I could just disappear right now like what is wrong with me I said with a huge sigh trying to act like I don't realise that they are still staring. Is it just me or does it feel like this traffic light is taking forever to turn green.
Time passes and it finally turns green,"driver please drive faster..",I said under my breath as I'm getting tired of their stares. "I will have to get down at the next stop to buy her a cake, I hope she isn't home yet".As I'm thinking of everything to do for today the bus comes to a stop and I get down quickly."why does time go fast at useless times like these."I said as I went in and ordered her favourite cake. I can't really understand her taste in food I mean who thought mint and chocolate could actually go well together, not me-, I walk home thinking how surprised she would be when she gets home, this gets even "me" excited.
As I got home I changed into my night dress since it was already late and I got everything ready to surprise her, as I was eagerly waiting for her arrival I heard the bell ring."oh that must be her",I said as I went to go hide. The door clicks open as I jump in to surprise her, I see 4 familiar figures.."I didn't know we were having guests",I said with utter embarrassment written all over my face..,I could see them looking away trying not to laugh in the distance."um", nuna said as she pointed at my attire.I looked down and finally understood the situation..I'm still in my pajamas..."I'll be excusing.."I said laughing awkwardly and ran to my room.
