Poison?

"I don't know! I wake up and he's sitting in front of my bed!?" I yell.

"He came to see you yesterday. He was just trying to check on you is all." Says the maid.

It gets quiet.

"Why wasn't I informed?!" I yell.

"Well you were sleeping My Lady." Says the maid.

"I apologize. I'll leave straight away." Says Alex while getting up to leave frantically.

"You don't have to! Sorry I overreacted, Haha."

I say hoping for him to stay.

"No need to apologize." Says Alex.

"Oh good! I was just about to make cookies. Would My Lord and Lady like to have some?" Asks the maid.

"Sure." I say.

"I'll bring them to you two when they're ready." Says the maid as she's closing the door.

Alex and I look at eachother.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to startle you so early in the morning!" I yell.

What time is it?....I'll ask Alex. I say in my head.

"No need to apologize, I get it." Says Alex.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"Hm?! Let me check." Alex says while looking at the clock in the hallway.

"I think its 3:17 am!"

"Thank you." I say.

"I know what's wrong with you." Says Alex.

This is gonna sound so shady.. Alex says in his head.

"What is it??!" I yell with fear.

"Well, my mother can see future and past, but she hasn't been checking the future lately-"

"Go on." I say.

"We think you've been poisoned." Alex says with an intense expression.

"By who?!" I yell.

"When my mom looked at the past, she saw one of your butler's put some type of poison in the Whiskey you drank the night of the "Arrangements". So we're not completely sure."

"Can you describe all of his features?" I ask.

"He looked at least 40, and he brushed down the top of his hair (that was left) AHEM, to the left side!" Alex says.

"Pff- Okay..Wait!! I think I remember him now!"

I yell.

Ugh! I totally remember him! He gave off this intense vibe! He always kinda gave me the creeps.. I think to myself.

"Yeah! He was a creepy guy that I would always feel uncomfortable around! I think his name was Max!" I yell with anger in my eyes.

"Where is he now?" Alex asks.

"I don't know. I think he doesn't work at these hours, but we do provide shelters for every servant here!" I say.

"Where are their shelters?" Asks Alex.

"Only my parents know. But probably something dumb, like the basement." I say rolling my eyes.

Me and Alex look at eachother. I get the guards and my father to come down the basement with me and Alex.

"King Frank...Which door leads to Max's room?" Alex asks.

"The one with his name on it ofcourse." King Frank crosses his arms while rolling his eyes.

"Dad! These doors are so dusty and moldy, you can't even read their names!" I yell with disappointment.

"So what? What's wrong with that?" Says King Frank.

He always does this! I yell in my head.

"This is serious dad! This Max guy might be the one that poisoned me!" I yell.

"Okay,okay! Let's find this guy and behead him!" King Frank yells.

"Right King Frank!" All 5 guards yell.

Okay Jewel! Just look for the door that has-

I say in my head.

"Hey!! Look I found his door!" I yell.

"Good job sweety!" King Frank yells.

The guards brake down the door!

"You are under arrested-!!" Yells the guards.

"..He's gone!" Yells King Frank.

How is he just gone like that? Alex thinks to himself.

"It makes no sense!" Yells King Frank.

That's a hideous rug..UGH. I just wanna stomp on it!! UGHHHH!!! I think in my head.
