A different playing style

According to Territory Lord, normal gaming style, players would rust to develop their camp,as to receive the NPCs who would further help them search for resources to expand it into a settlement.

All this would be done in the first week,as for developing a settlement to a village,it would take time as there were several requirements that had to be fulfilled.

One of them being a population cap that had to be met, this deffered depending on the rank of the said settlement. A low ranked settlement will have a lower population cap as to that of a peak ranked settlement.

The second requirement was one's settlement to dabb into one of the basic major speciality or three minor specialities. There were more than a dozen minor speciality one could pick from and three basic specialities.

The three basic specialities included farming, mining and logging. From these three basic specialist, the minor specialities were born. These included floriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, beast taming, smithing, spirit tool forging, formations, carpentry, tannery, tailoring, pill refinement and more.

As for the third requirement, one had to train a certain number of guards, were to be not less than ten percent of the total population.

The guards required strength and stage was determined by the rank of the settlement.

The fourth requirement was the structures present. A settlement had to have enough shelters to cater for all its occupants and a fence before upgrading into a village.

A village hall and a warehouse were also required before the upgrade.

Players rushed to achieve all this but Zach chose to follow a different playing style.

He knew well that what mattered in the end was individual strength and so he decided to first improve his strength before developing his camp.

Currently he was just a mortal with no cultivation, and from the experience and knowledge from the previous games he played he was confidence that it would take him just a week,in real time, that was a month in-game, to start cultivating.

For a mortal to become a cultivator, one needed to train their bodies, transforming and strengthening them as to be adaptable to the spirit.

For this,Zach had already planned out his way forward.

Marking the center of the grassy plane,he headed back to the pile of resources, the amount of food was enough to last him for at least three months.

First,he cleared a section of grass and built a fire with some of the wood, before skewering several pieces of meat to cook.

"I need to gather some vegetables from the forest to use as accompaniment and spices..."

Zach thought as he picked up some stones that were heavier than him,as he waited for the meat to cook.

He was not afraid of being attacked by beasts as each player had a seven day in-game time system protection.

If one observed Zach, they would think that he was an obsessed body builder,as he exercised.

He alternated between sets of stone lifting, push-ups, sit-ups,star jumps and squats.

All these were basic exercise tailored for muscle building.

It was not until the meat was cooked that an exhausted Zach sat on a log and enjoyed the saltless and spiceless roasted meat.

He rested his body before resuming his hellish training three hours later.

This went on for two days, and only ended when Zach received a system notification.

Seeing the breakthrough reward was a wooden chest,Zach was happy, though he knew that the items from this chest would depend on luck and the system parameters set.

There was a high chance for him to receive common items as compared to spirit items, herbs or other cultivation resources.

Zach accessed his profile before dismissing it a second later.

RACE: Human

REALM: Body Forging

STAGE: Mortal (Muscle Forging)

TERRITORY RANK: Camp (Not Established)

HP: 100%

SPIRIT: None

"Too weak..."

Zach thought as he picked some meat and headed towards the fire,he had earlier on smoked all the meat as to preserve them.

After lighting the fire and letting the meat cook,he had some water before he embarked on his training, but this time,he included laps round the grassy plane.

It was not until four days later, in-game time, that he had his second breakthrough into the Bone Forging Stage.

With this breakthrough, came an increase in both physical strength and agility, all he needed now was to work on his skin and he could start cultivating. But he had different thoughts,he planned on going ahead and forging all his five organs as this would triple his physical power and provide him with a strong foundation.

For the Skin Forging Stage,he planned on using the most basic technique. This included covering one's body with anything that had earth element in it.

And since there was a forest nearby,he planned on looking for a river or any water source within it. He planned on using clay from the river banks to forge his skin, but for him to do so,he had to fight against the beast in the forest,as he only had a day before his system protection ended.

Zach spent his time digging a large hole with his sword as to hide the two wooden chests and other resources he had in it. He did not want to construct any building or structure as these would trigger the camp establishment quest, that had a time limit, and this he did not want to as he planned on becoming a cultivator before triggering the said quest.

With seven days, in-game time, over, the system sent Zach a couple of notifications.

"Luckily for me,I have no territory..."

Zach thought as tied several roasted pieces of meat with a piece of cotton clothe that he had cut from the roll and left for the forest.

Zach gathered vegetables, though he had no pots to cook them in,and fruits from the forest,as he searched for a river or stream,at the same time, marking down places he found interesting. Some of these places were large potions of land with vegetables, boulders that could be broken down into building stones, fruit trees and several common beasts territories and nests.

All that he gathered was added to the tied bundle on his back.
