Two Faced Demon

"Now what?" The Monkey King wondered out loud.

The current situation wasn't one he planned but chose to just go along as it was interesting from his point of view.

Right now, some of his former plans were no longer adequate, and some changes were necessary.

He chooses to accept the King's proposal because it was amusing and would be beneficial to him in the long run.

Although he could do everything alone, having some allies was also good. Plus he was not really pressed.

He was a hedonist he could say so himself. He only looked for pleasure and entertainment. That is also why he was training because he found it fun.

The feeling of getting stronger was an enjoyable one.

That aside, Protecting this Kingdom for some years would be nothing too bothersome, in exchange he would even get a legendary weapon. He hoped it would be a spear or broad sword. That would be dope.

That aside, he was going to leave this place... the Inn he meant, this Kingdom is going to be his permanent residence for some time.

That doesn't mean he is not going to look for some strong or interesting monster to get the abilities of thought.

"Monkey King, have you decided yet what you are going to do next?" The king seeing his current pensive expression decided to ask.

"Hm?" As Sun Wukong was brought back from his thought, he looked at the King with a raised eyebrow.

This action although seemingly inoffensive was enough to make the King a little... Nervous.

"N-nothing much, I-i just wanted to propose for you to meet the nobles of the Kingdom." The King continued speaking even though the man before him was the guardian of this kingdom, the King was still a little on edge.

"You don't need to be so nervous, I am a pretty chill guy you know." The Monkey King said in a radically different tone compared to the way he previously was speaking.

The King even had to wonder if he was the same guy he was speaking to not long ago. Even his followers were thinking the same.

Strangely enough, due to the effect of his words, the room's atmosphere completely changed, becoming instantly more jovial and welcoming.

It was enough for those in the room to relax, gradually losing their prior nervousness like snow melting to the sun.

"So I was saying, It would be more convenient if you could meet the nobles of the Kingdom since you will be staying here for a long time. At least you should meet them, even if it's for a single time." The king became calmer and spoke about what was on his mind.

"I can understand your point, but I will have to make something clear though. I will not be participating in your games." Sun Wukong said to the King.

"And you have no obligation to. I understand that politics are not for everyone." The King sighed.

"What can I say? You, politicians, know nothing and think you know everything."

"Hahaha, that is true sometimes." The King at this point almost forgot he was on the edge not long ago.

"So should we go?" The Monkey asked with a smile, seeing his plan worked.

He wanted the King to become less nervous and it worked with just some words, truly his charism knew no bounds. As he thought he internally nodded internally.

They are simply times when you need to be serious and others not so much. Being able to understand and apply this makes the difference between charismatic people and... a normie.

"Yes, but before let me introduce you to those two." The King said as he got up from his chair and redirected the Monkey King's attention toward his two followers.

To which the Demon King nodded and also go up, approaching them.

"This is the Kingdom's head Knight, and currently the strongest man of the Kingdom, Gazef Silvania." The Introduced man bowed a little.

"Gazef Silvania. huh..."

Hm... Wukong could see some resemblance between him and the other guy from the anime overlord, but their faces and Last names weren't quite the same although their name was.

Another difference was... their strength.

"You are quite strong from what I see, you should have already gone through the first stage of evolution... Let's fight sometimes if there is a chance."

He even seemed to possess a skill, hm... from future analyze turned out it's an Extra one. He couldn't get more information thought.

"Thank you for the compliment, but I think I will refrain from fighting against... you. My instinct never failed me before and they tell me that I have no chance at all." Gazef shook his head and declined his generous offer to fight.

'No way I am fighting this monster, even the pressure from his worlds alone are so strong, imagine his fist." Just thinking about it, the poor Knight couldn't help but quiver a bit.

Sun Wukong plants a seed of fear in the man without even lifting as much as a finger. Truly a Demon Lord.

"And This is Lisa, the most powerful and skilled magician of the Kingdom, she is a court mage and the royal librarian." he introduced the other person.

Sun Wukong observed her as well and took note of her appearance.

A tall and fit woman. Rather Beautiful and poised, she has light eyes and long, dark hair.

"Not bad, in addition to your beauty you are also pretty strong." He said as he looked at her with a knowing smile. He knew she also had a skill. Guess it's not easy to make it to the top without at least one.

"Thank you for your kind words." Lisa smiled back but didn't speak further.

"And... she is also my mistress." The king seeing how interested the Demon King was, misunderstood it as enticement thus for fear of the worse choose to speak up.

"Hm... you have good eyes for talent." Sun Wukong said with a nod he knew this kind of thing was not rare in fantasy worlds.

His words however the King sighs in relief. Luckily it was not what he thought.

"Hahaha thanks, since I am neither a fighter nor a magician, it's one of my redeeming qualities." He was not even being humble as it was merely the truth.

"That is still impressive, as it's normally difficult for humans to get skills due to them not having magicules in their bodies."

"Yes that's sadly the truth, not many of my people have skills." The King confirmed

"Anyway, I believe it's time to get going." He said as he looked toward Lisa who immediately understood.

Soon she started chanting a spell as a magic circle actualized below the four of them.

While that was happening Sun Wukong had the time to analyze her spell and deduced that it was of a lower level than what Ramiris taught him. Which was totally understandable.

Although one of the weakest 'currently' she was still a Demon Lord with years of knowledge and experience at her disposal, no way a random... okay not so random but no way someone like Liza could even hope to match her skills. (Pun intended)

While the Teleportation spell was almost ready, Sun WUkong felt like he was forgetting something... but he couldn't put a finger on it.

'What was it?' He wondered, but still, nothing came to his mind. 'Whatever shouldn't be that important anyway.'

Seconds later he was in the royal palace, in the throne room to be exact. He looked around curiously, this was his first time seeing a real one with his own eyes after all.

'Quite fancy. Nice.'

"Monkey King-" The king addressed but he was interrupted "Sun Wukong." The Demon King interjected, not that he didn't like being referred to by his epithet it didn't seem right in this situation.

"Sun Wukong then." The King understood his intention, "Would you like to rest before meeting the nobles? or should I call them now?" He asked, he didn't know if he wanted to rest a bit or perhaps even eat something.

"It's fine, call them now. Let's not waste time, it's not like I have all the time in the world." He said before realizing something. "Ha sorry forget that, I actually do. Still call them, the sooner I deal with this the better." His words earned a laugh from the King, even Gazef and Lisa sneered.

"Hahaha, of course, of course." The king said as he regained his composure, but still, a smile was on his face.

Today was a great day! and he was in a great mood!

He wasn't jealous at all, leaving for thousands of years didn't interest him particularly. He feared death, but not all death, dying from old age was his wish. What he feared was being killed by others.

"Gunther." His voice resonated as he called his Buttler, who quickly came as a result.

"Send a message to the nobles, and tell them to come as quickly as possible." He instructed the butter who listened carefully "Also, prepare the meeting room."

"As you order my lord." The butter bowed as he quickly disappeared from sight after merely one to three steps.

"His displacement art is still as good as ever," Gazeth spoke with a smile. This butler was one of the best users of [Instantmove] an art specialized in rapid movement.

"Well, considering this is his main art technique then it's a given." Lisa also commented.

"Compared to that his other techniques are not that outstanding." The king interjected.

"Art, hm... I think I should take a better look at it." Sun Wukong casually stated, he was interested. He learned arts on his own, and his techniques were something he created (based on Db) so he didn't really know the basics of this world's arts.

There were some techniques that just about any decent art user mastered, the basics, like the previously displayed technique [Instantmove], there's also [Airflight], [Concealment], [Aura Slash], etc...

He didn't really need most but it would be helpful for him to learn them so he could create more techniques more easily.

"You are Interested in arts?" The King was surprised as most monsters only relied on brute strength.

"Yes, I am." Sun Wukong nodded. "Is there someone available to teach me the basics?"

"It seems like you are lucky, Gazef right here is a master." The king pointed toward Gazed causing Wukong to also look at the man with an expectant expression.

"Ahem... I think now is not the time to talk about that. Let's come back to it after the meeting." Gazef tried to diffuse the situation by shifting the subject of the conversation.

He certainly didn't want anything to do with the Demon Lord.

Teaching him art? isn't this just asking to be beaten up?

The man already wanted to spar with him previously and was somehow able to refuse but now this.

Has his luck finally run out?

"I understand, so you will help me with that after the meeting." Much to Gazef's indignation, Wukong decided to take a page out of Ramiris's book and purposely decided to hear and understand only what he wanted.

"That-" Gazef was speechless, nonetheless he decided to make the last attempt as futile as it could be.

"Hm? Did you say something?" Sun Wukong asked with an eery smile.

"N-no nothing." Gazef reeled back, as he got a warning from his instincts.

'H-he did it again! This two-faced demon, I knew he was being way too nice!'

Damn, why me? I don't want to deal with this!

It's an evil world we live in.

"When we are at it, let's also spare a little bit, been a long time since I last exercised." Sun Wukong said as he cracked his neck. He was aware of what was going on and he was purposely worsening the situation for the poor man.

Gazef was taken by despair, this man was evil, pure evil!

He really deserved his title of Demon King!

***

Y'all should keep in mind that at this point in time not many demon Lords existed, the first generations already established themselves, striking fear in the mind of many, they all have feats to their names.

Thus since their actions spoke rather than their words, their powers couldn't be doubted, no one can oppose them if not Rudra and Velgrynd, even the sage/enlightened are fodder to them. And that most knew. So they really feared them.

From their perspective, those are true demon lords, and since the second generation was accepted in their ranks, they think that the new generation would also be around their levels.

Even If that's not really the case, Milim and Guy are Just way too up there.
