Tensura : Crimson Heavenly Dragon

I created this fanfiction as a way to pass the time, especially since I couldn't find much Tensura fanfiction. Please be warned that English is not my first language, so I appreciate your understanding. P.S.: This story is set in an alternative universe to the original Tensura, so there may be some gendered characters and events that never happened in the original. Chapter 0 : The Human Who Transcended Gods

(Unknown Point Of View)

Location: Unknown

[You have been selected as one of the {Chosen Ones}.]

[This is a world created by {The Tower Of Babel}. ]

[Your objective is to survive and grow in this world and climb the {Tower of Babel}. ]

" GAAH!!!"

A jolt of pain surged through my body as a strange-looking dog sank its teeth into my left arm.

"Ahh!"

Desperation fueled my attempts to escape the clutches of this beast, and instinctively, I did the first thing that came to mind and kicked it away with all my strength .

"Whine."

The dog recoiled, emitting bizarre sounds of pain. I knelt, clenching my left arm, gasping for breath as my body dripped with sweat and trembled.

What the hell is going on? Where am I? And more importantly...

Unconsciously, I reached for one of the rocks nearby.

"W-what is that dog...?"

Back then, I didn't have time to ponder my current situation.

The creature lunged at me again, and without hesitation, I smashed its head.

"AAh!"

But one thing was clear for me

"Is it dead ?"

The strange creature, if the dog could even be called that, twitched. And for the first time in both of my lives, I felt true despair.

If I didn't kill it, it would kill me.

The dog growled, its dislocated mouth oozing blood. What frightened me more was its eyes filled with hatred and malice.

"S-stay back!"

Ignoring my warning, the dog slowly approached. I took a few steps back.

"WHAT ARE YOU EVEN ATTACKING ME FOR ? I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU !"

[Ding]

"What is this ?"

[Hell Dog Lv.15]

[HP: 1200 MP: 0]

[One of the lowest level Monsters of the {Tower of Babel} possesses strength similar to a low-level {Player}.]

Level ? Mana Points?

[The {Player} can level up by gaining experience points through defeating powerful monsters and completing {Quests} or conquering the dungeon floors.]

"What the f*ck is this thing talking about ? Did I get stuck in some fantasy game world... NOW of all time ?"

Distracted by the floating blue screen, I failed to notice the hellish dog lunging at me, and biting off my neck.

And that's how I died for the second time in the same day .

The beast sliced me and carved and tour me apart in ways that I can't possibly describe until there was nothing left

Just as I was about to accept the sweet embrace of death I was whole again like magic

So it all can start all over again

Just When Did Things Go Wrong ?

________________________________________________________________________________

I was selected as a {Player}, and soon this {Tower of Babel} became my reality.

Is this my reality? Right?

Then what about my life? My parents? What about [Her]?

What's going to happen to me?

[Will you end your own life?]

The concept of {Death} doesn't exist in the {Tower of Babel}; that was one of the first things I learned during my stay here.

I didn't age or need to sleep or eat; I just exist.

Eventually, a cycle was born: wake up, fight and die; wake up, fight and die; and so on.

At first, I went mad, of course, but after a few years, I kind of got bored with that too, and then I went sane, very sane.

I don't want to die even more. That is how my unending hellish life of {leveling up} began.

I died countless times, yet I survived over and over again. And then I fought again.

And I lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost...

Until one day, I won and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and won...

and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and lost and won and lost and lost and lost, won and lost, and won....

And won and lost and lost and won...

And won and won and won, and won and won and won, won... And climbed this godforsaken tower !

I fought like that for years—monsters, gods, and anything in between. I killed them all as I {Leveled up}.

Gradually, as I went deeper and deeper into this tower, I started losing parts of my humanity, especially after I discovered the system had [Gacha].

It was an eerie experience, but it didn't interfere with my journey

My body screamed in pain, but I pressed forward, pushing past the limitations of humanity. Each battle etched a new layer of transcendence, turning my very being into a weapon. All in pursuit of the ultimate goal: to ascend this god-forsaken tower, a towering structure that seemed to defy not just the heavens but the very essence of existence itself.

Just to reach this point

The beast's roar echoed through the abyss, a guttural symphony of defiance and primal fury. The sound itself seemed to emanate from the depths of hell , carrying with it an otherworldly resonance that sent shivers down the spines of those who dared to listen. The roar was a cacophony of growls, roars, and unearthly howls, blending together in a dissonant harmony that spoke of untamed power.

As the demonic creature writhed in protest, its monstrous form strained against the golden chains that ensnared it. Each link of those hundreds of thousands of chains gleamed like molten sunlight, their luster in stark contrast to the creature's dark, malevolent aura. The chains seemed to writhe and pulse with an ethereal energy of their own, as if they were infused with the very essence of [Divine Light].

The metallic symphony of the chains clinking and rattling echoed alongside the beast's roars, creating a disconcerting melody that resonated through the surrounding void. The golden chains held the creature in a web of what could I only describe as molten [Divinity] , their radiant glow contrasting with the demonic shadows that danced across the beast's twisted form.

Despite the creature's ferocious attempts to break free, the golden chains held steadfast, their collective strength a testament to a power beyond the infernal. It was a sight of cosmic struggle, where the demonic beast of defiance clashed against the divine force manifested in the resplendent chains, creating a spectacle that bridged the realms of darkness and light in a titanic battle of wills.

Abomination that was the only way I could describe the thing I was seeing in front of me

It emerged as a fleshy, black lumpy sea—a formless abyss that seemed to straddle the boundary between the ethereal and the material

But slowly even as it was even being held by those chains the once-formless sea gained substance, and the Beast acquired the ability to generate arms from the dark mud that comprised its being. These limbs, like tendrils of malevolence, reached out in a hunger that transcended the material and delved into the metaphysical

Seven crowns rose from the murky depths, marking a significant turning point in its evolution.

the Beast developed a scarlet frame that outlined its form, as if the very essence of [Sin] now coursed through its being. The scarlet hue pulsated with an unnatural vitality, creating an eerie contrast against the abyssal darkness.

Seven open mouths manifested along the scarlet frame, each a voracious gateway to consume the energies of those Golden Chains.

The mouths, arranged in a pattern of both symmetry and chaos, whispered promises of dominion and power.

[Congratulations, esteemed {Player} ! Your remarkable journey has led you to the pinnacle of the {Tower of Babel}, reaching its final and most challenging stage.

As a testament to your tenacity and skill, a special reward awaits you at the culmination of this arduous ascent.

Should you prove victorious against the formidable final boss, [The Beast of 666] an extraordinary prize shall be bestowed upon you, marking your triumph as an unparalleled achievement within the confines of this grand tower.

Best of luck on your epic confrontation ! ]

Snorting, I disregarded the {System} and gradually approached the beast. With each step, one of the numerous chains restraining it snapped, setting it partially free.

Unconsciously, a red gauntlet adorned with two green jewels and ten golden spikes materialized on my left arm. Suddenly, one of its two jewels emitted a deep, dark light. As the radiance dissipated, a young girl stood beside me—a captivating figure with long, black hair cascading down to her hips and black eyes. The reptilian slitted pupils in her dark grey eyes and pointed tips of her ears hinted at her non-human origins, though her overall appearance exuded a captivating cuteness.

She tightly held my hand as we observed the frenzied struggles of the chained beast.

"Well, well, you're one ugly mess, aren't you, Ddraig ? Ophis, be honest with me. If I were to use a [Full-Dragon Deification] and push The [King Body's] to its absolute limit, could I kill that thing ?"

"Partner, to be honest with you, I'm not completely sure. That thing exists on a higher plane than me .

But the fact that you're planning to push yourself this much... Are you not intending to come out alive after this fight?"

"...."

As I gazed at the towering creature before us, a heavy silence hung in the air. Breaking the quietude, I spoke, my voice carrying the weight of a millennium of solitude.

"I've been stuck in this tower for over 1,000 years. I've forgotten almost everything about my previous life. This tower has become my everything, and I plan on giving everything I have to it.

Ophis, Ddraig, lend me your power one last time to fulfill my selfish desire. I know fully well that once I die, both of you will likely follow."

Ddraig's voice gleamed with joy, and he boomed, "For a dragon of my level, there's no greater honor than death! The last 500 years we spent together were among the greatest of my life. I feel insulted that you insinuated I wouldn't help you in this battle ! "

Ophis, who had been silent throughout, unleashed her aura in response. Seeing this, I smiled for the first time in years and thanked both of them from the bottom of my heart as I prepared myself to face the beast of 666

With newfound determination coursing through my veins, I faced the colossal [beast of 666] .

The final chains that once bound it began to shatter, and it roared with an unfathomable fury.

The red gauntlet on my left arm pulsed with energy, and the two green jewels radiated an otherworldly light. The air crackled with anticipation.

As the battle unfolded, the powers of [Full-Dragon Deification] and the [King Body's] were pushed to their absolute limits. I fought with every ounce of strength, skill, and the borrowed might of Ddraig and Ophis.

The clash between mortal and monstrosity echoed through the vast expanse of the tower shacking it's very foundation.
