Walking into the resident's lounge in the morning, Helena saw Callie sitting on a couch, putting on her shoes.

"Morning." She wished, moving to put her bag down on her cubby.

"Morning." Callie wished back, her voice still a bit groggy, signaling her tiredness.

"You ok, Cal? Mark told me about your family and everything..." The brunette asked, worried. After coming out to her dad, Callie's family had cut her out, not having said a word to her since. On top of that, her father had financially stopped supporting her.

"Yeah, fine." The Latina shot back, not very convincingly, as Cristina walked into the room.

"Good morning, Cristina. And, Callie, if you need anything, I'm here." The short girl smiled, Callie leaving the room as Cristina approached her.

"Oh, coffee." Helena perked up, stealing a sip from her friend's beverage. At that, Cristina made an annoyed face, one that softened as Helena gave her an innocent smile.

"Typical. The dimples getting you out of trouble..." Cristina shook her head, the two girls turning as Meredith entered the room.

"Big day!" Cristina let out, Helena smiling at her blond friend.

"Wedding day!"

"Don't do that, Cristina. Don't do the peppy made of honor thing, it's creepy." The blond warned.

"Hey, what about baby Einstein?" Cristina complained.

"Lena's nice, she's a naturally nice person. It's not creepy on ." Meredith explained, moving to her cubby.

At that, Helena shot her a smile, asking. "How're doing, Mer?"

"I'm fine."

"Wait, is this, like, the calm before the storm?" Cristina asked, making Helena narrow her eyes at her friend. "Do you need me to drug you or... shave of your brows to numb you into submission?"

"No, I'm fine! It's not the biggest day of life, it's the biggest day of life. I'm excited about the marriage, not some wedding." Meredith nodded.

"She is the one that has gone all bridezila..." Helena admitted, stealing another sip from Cristina's coffee, making the other two girls giggle.

As Helena charted by her nurses station, deep in her thoughts. They had just found another tumor on Izzie's brain, one too small to operate on. She was pulled from her meditative state as she saw Derek approaching her, the wedding folder Izzie had prepared in his arms.

"Izzie let you take the wedding folder?" The girl asked, her brows furrowing. "Oh, please tell me you didn't steal it. You didn't steal form a cancer patient, did you?"

"No, Lena, I didn't steal it." The man chuckled. "I just... we aren't getting married."

"What?! Why? What happened?" Helena asked, clearly worried as her head shot up at the information. "Is Mer freaking out? Because I'll talk to her, I know she wants this."

"No, aren't getting married right now. Izzie and Alex are." The man told her, a grin slowly but surely making it's way onto her lips.

"Izzie's gonna love it, Der." Helena smiled, tucking a strand of her behind her ear. "She's gonna love it."

Helena stood at the end of the hallway to Izzie's room, helping Alex put on his tie.

As the boy continually shifted his weight from one leg to another, the short girl asked. "You nervous?"

"Well, yeah. We just stole a wedding and now I'm proposing, I'm a little freaked out." The man admitted, letting out a chuckle.

"She'll say yes, Alex. That girl is head over heels for you, she'll say yes." Helena nodded, finishing up the knot on his tie. She stepped back, taking in the picture of Alex Karev about to get married, before sighing. "You remember at the beginning of intern year, when I told you there was this person, this person I knew you could become?" The girl asked.

"When you gave me the whole speech about becoming a better man?" Alex chuckled. "Yeah, I do."

"Well, you know... this is it. You've become him, Alex. And I am so proud of you. "Helena smiled at the man, who gave her a reluctant smile back. Even if he didn't want to admit it, the resident could tell he was moved by the words he never got to hear growing up.

"Do you... you know, wanna be my best man? O-or best woman, whatever." The older doctor asked her, a tight lipped smile on his face.

At that, Helena took him into an unexpected hug, pulling back soon after. "It'd be my pleasure."

At the church, Helena stood at the isle, on Alex's side of the wedding, as the doors opened and Izzie walked in. Helena shared a look with Mark, as both their smiles widened. However, as Izzie walked, she began to slow down, Helena's smile immediately falling. As she stopped, leaning against one of the benches, George took her hand, walking her to Alex.

As she watched the ceremony, Helena's smile was a wide as ever, her eyes shining with unshed tears as she watched the couple kiss. Shooting a look to Mark, she found the man looking at her too.

"I love you." Helena mouthed, the man's smile growing.

"I love you too." He mouthed back.

At the end of the wedding, Helena and Mark walked back to their hotel room, hands intertwined. Helena swung them gently, a habit she'd had since her childhood, and something Mark found adorable.

"So, I was thinking..." The short girl started.

"Yes, doll?" The man asked, pressing the girl to his side, his arm over her shoulders.
