Chapter 34.2 : Eyes

As she looked at Emily, who was currently sitting on a barrel with a faint frown on her face, as well as her shirt slightly risen up, revealing the lower part of her chest, a faint frown appeared on Diana's face.

Looking at Emily's chest, which had some bullets sticking out of her skin, the frown on Diana's face disappeared, causing her to let out a faint sigh.

A moment later, Emily suddenly grabbed one of the bullets that was stuck in her skin, and took it out, causing some blood to flow out, as Emily was clearly not proficient in taking out bullets, having not needed to do this many times.

Thankfully, Emily's physique was quite monstrous compared to the average person, as such, the rather weak guns of the marines were not able to pierce her skin.

After staring at the scene in front of her for a few moments, Diana suddenly stepped forward and approached Emily, allowing the Vice-Captain to finally notice her arrival, and lower her head.

As soon as Diana reached Emily, she bent down without saying anything to her Vice-Captain, and easily took out the remaining three bullets still stuck in her skin.

Unlike Emily, Diana made sure to not cause any sort of damage, and carefully took out the bullets which had splintered and stuck to Emily's flesh.

In just a few moments, the remaining three bullets were gone, with only a bit o blood coming out, causing Diana to shake her head.

"With your healing speed, minor injuries such as these should be gone in under a day, so I won't do anything else, but in the future, don't rush into battle exhausted, otherwise you might make mistakes much more costly than these," said Diana, causing Emily to lower her head.

Although Diana had not seen the scene with her own eyes, she instantly knew what had happened.

Even though Emily was exhausted from her sparring, having been completely fired up by the stories of Thresh, the girl probably jumped into the battle first, and was shot whilst her attention was placed onto something else.

Hearing the words of her otherwise cold captain, Emily couldn't help but slightly nod her head.

"I understand Captain," said Emily, when suddenly, a hand descended upon her shoulder.

"Be more careful next time, no matter how powerful you are, you shouldn't underestimate anyone, I still need you to be my Vice-Captain in the future," said Diana before walking away, not allowing Emily to respond to her words.

A few moments later, Emily raised her head and stared at Diana's departing figure, causing a faint smile to appear on her face.

...

Looking at Oro, who was currently patching up 2 cannon fodder who had been seriously injured in the previous battle, Diana couldn't help but shake her head.

"Injured even when they have so much help, I guess I can't expect much from the likes of them..." mumbled Diana, causing Thresh, who was sitting nearby, to nod his head in agreement.

Although Diana had left, she had eliminated all the powerful marines, causing the rest of her crewmates to be left without a fight.

Other than Emily, who had been injured because of her recklessness, not even Oro, had suffered even the tiniest injury, as they simply had to clean up the remaining marines.

This meant that the cannon fodder had an even easier job, just survive and not get killed, but even so, 1 idiot actually failed even this simple task, and actually died to the marines.

A moment later, Diana shook her head.

"We need to go north later today, we desperately need a ship doctor," mumbled Diana, causing Thresh to nod his head, agreeing with her.

"If we stay here for long, the marines are bound to come hunt us down, I guess the nearby marine fleet should already be on its way by now," said Thresh as he looked at the pirates who were currently who were loading treasure and money onto the ship, causing Diana to smile.

"Then it's decided, we set sail to Trun Kingdom later today," said Diana as she got up from her chair, causing Daniel, who was currently not too far away from her to suddenly freeze for a brief moment before walking back onto the Thunder.

...

Later that day,

Looking at Sengoku, who now had numerous black lines on his forehead as he stared at the report in his hands, Garp, who had just walked into the office couldn't help but suddenly begin laughing.

"Did that little girl cause some trouble up in North Blue again?" guessed Garp, aware that nothing major had happened in the Grand Line.

Without saying anything, the Fleet Admiral suddenly threw a piece of paper towards Garp, causing the latter to immediately stretch out his hand and catch it.

Although the piece of paper did not contain any words, nor did it contain something particularly shocking, as he looked at it, Garb couldn't help but frown.

"It's a good thing I'm not the Fleet Admiral, otherwise I would've had to deal with things like this," mumbled Garp as he stared at the photo in his hands, as well as the look in the eyes of the little girl.

The eyes themselves were not very interesting, being just a pair of normal eyes, instead, what caught Garp off guard was the demeanor and spirit showed by them.

"Another rookie with Conquerors Haki, things will sure get more interesting around here..." said Garp before sitting down in front of Sengoku and picking up a bag of donuts.

Although this new pirate had not showcased Conquerors Haki just yet, Garp knew it was only a matter of time.

Both he and Sengoku, who also had Conquerors Haki as well, could see it in her eyes.

Although not all people with Conquerors Haki had these sorts of eyes, Garp has not yet met anyone with these kinds of arrogant, ambitious eyes that didn't eventually have Conquerors Haki.
