Chapter 13.2 : The Past

A certain park, Dallas, Texas, 1995.

Looking at the boy who was rapidly swinging on a swing, Diana, who was sitting on a bench, couldn't help but shake her head.

"Really stupid," mumbled Diana as she took a bite of her strawberry ice cream.

Right now, two other boys were standing below the swing, occasionally helping to give it more force and push the single boy higher and higher up.

Only a few minutes after Diana had commented on the stupidity of their actions, the speed of the swing had got too much for the boys below it to handle, causing them to back off.

At the same time, several girls stood nearby looking at the scene in front of them with a curious look in their eyes. Watching the boy cling to the swing with dear life as he reached the top of the swing, a faint smile appeared on Diana's face.

Suddenly, Diana's eyes moved from the boy to someone else, who, like her, was sitting on a nearby bench.

'Suspicious,' thought Diana as she looked at the middle-aged black man who was reading a newspaper.

After staring at the man for a few more moments, Diana turned her attention back to the boy in the swing, who had now begun puking all over the place as the swing slowly but surely began slowing down.

"Gross," mumbled Diana as she stared at this scene, causing her to throw the perfectly good ice cream into a nearby trash can. A few moments after that, Diana got up from the bench and begun walking away.

"Diana, did something happen?" asked one of the girls from the nearby group of girls with a rather concerned look on her face. Hearing this, Diana shook her head.

"It's nothing, I just don't feel like staying around her right now," mumbled Diana as she waved at the girl before walking away. Hearing this, the girl nodded.

"Goodbye then," said the girl before walking back to her group. A few moments later, Diana walked out of the rather small park, followed by that very same black man who was just reading his newspaper.

Hearing the faint footsteps which seemed to be following her, a faint smile appeared on Diana's face.

Looking at the back of the young girl, who had just walked into an alley, a faint frown appeared on the face of Carl Eugene Watts, but even so, a brief moment of hesitation he still followed her into the alley.

Step by step, as the girl slowly walked through the alley, Carl got closer and closer to her, eventually being only a few meters away from her.

Rather curiously, the girl did not seem to raise her guard, even in this dark alley, but Carl did not have much to think about this, as he quickly took out a rather small kitchen knife from his jacket and began sprinting towards her.

Hearing the pair of footsteps following her, a faint smile appeared on Diana's face, this smile especially increased in size after the person following her had begun sprinting towards her.

By now, Diana's eyes had already begun purely red, at the same time, her nail had already grown a few inches in an instant.

Without any warning, Diana moved her head sideways, dodging the kitchen knife that had been stabbed towards it. Though, before the man could have even the slightest reaction to this, Diana's elbow had already struck him in the stomach, sending him flying into a nearby concrete wall.

Seeing this, a slightly disappointed look appeared on Diana's face.

"He already died, it looks like I still can't control my strength as well as I want to," mumbled Diana as she picked up the kitchen knife, which had fallen out of the hands of the man.

Although the knife had been washed numerous times, Diana was still able to detect a faint scent emanating from it, one which the twelve-year-old Diana was already very used to. Human blood.

Seeing this, Diana then approached the shattered corpse of the man and inserted her fingers into his neck. But unlike usual, Diana did not absorb the blood of the man.

Without any warning, the previously dead man opened his eyes.

Hearing the TV sounds coming from the living room, a faint smile appeared on the face of Diana, who was walking towards it.

Without any warning, Diana opened the door to the living room and stared inside.

Looking at her parents, who were currently watching the TV whilst sitting on the sofa, a faint smile appeared on Diana's face.

After not even a moment of hesitation, Diana silently walked into the living room, closed the door behind her, and began sprinting towards her parents. Using her speed as leverage, Diana suddenly jumped over the side of the sofa, landing right in the middle of her parents.

Without saying anything, Diana simply stared at the TV as if nothing had happened.

"Did you have a good day, sweetie?" asked Noah as she looked at her daughter, causing the latter to nod.

"Today was great, I had tons of fun at the park, I even made a new friend," mumbled Diana, causing James and Noah to faintly smile.

Back when the two first adopted Diana, they were slightly worried that she wouldn't be able to integrate with the local kids, but thankfully, their worries became unfounded, as although Diana did not have any close friends, she was still able to integrate with the local kids.

A moment after that, the three turned their attention towards the TV.

Nearby Morioh, Japan, 1999.

At the moment, rain poured on Diana, who was standing over an unmarked grave, with a shovel in her hands.

After a few moments of hesitation, Diana gritted her teeth before beginning to dig.

As the grave was made in quite a hurry and not too long ago, Diana was easily able to get through the dirt, revealing a makeshift coffin.

Because the coffin was created using random planks which Diana had found, it had already begun rotting, but thankfully, it still managed to protect the body inside of it.

"I didn't expect to dig you out of here," mumbled Diana as she bent down and opened the coffin, revealing the rotten corpse inside of it. A moment after that, Diana's nails sunk into the neck not too long dead Jotaro for a few moments, causing his eyes to suddenly pop open.
