26. Mysterious Woman

Valeri opened her eyes and she was stunned to see a beautiful woman standing in front of her wearing the royal clothes of the Zephyra kingdom. She wanted to ask the woman about her identity but she was very scared. Valeri was afraid to make the woman in front of her angry because she had acted so ignorant and called her without permission.

"Why did you invite me here? Is there something important that made you dare to call me while I was resting?"

Valerie was stunned to hear the question of the woman in front of her. She felt he had never called her to come to her place. What she called was a black and white cat she had just met in front of her house.

"My majesty. I had no intention of calling your majesty to come here. I was just trying to summon the cat I just met in front of my house. I called a noble cat. Not you."

The woman in front of Valeri smiled. She looked her up and down trying to convince herself that she wasn't the woman trying to annoy Prince Lionel.

"Tell me what you have to do with the man in your house!"

Once again Valeri was stunned to hear the question of the woman in front of her. Her body slowly trembled and cold sweat started to run down her face and all over her body. Valeri was confused to answer the woman's question. She didn't want to be seen as a woman trying to use Lionel for her life. But if she told the truth she was afraid that she would not believe her.

Seeing Valeri silent, the woman continued to look at Valeri, narrowing her eyes.

"Why are you silent? Is my question difficult for you to answer? Don't be afraid to answer my questions about anything. I just want to know what really happened to that man in your house."

"My majesty, the man in my house is my adopted son. He came to the house helpless and without food and work. I recently lost a son who is the same age as him and I feel he is a God sent to heal the wounds I've been feeling. Please don't be angry with me because I have absolutely no intention of disturbing the man or considering him as a cash cow that I can use his strength to fulfill my needs."

"Well I believe in you. I'll leave him to you because someday he will have to return to his original home. Never let him leave your house even if only for a moment because there are still many people who are trying to kill and look for him."

Valeri was stunned to hear the woman's words. She never expected that the woman in front of her knew all the details about Lionel.

Valeri wanted to ask about Prince Lionel's background but when she blinked the woman in front of her had disappeared.

"Your Majesty, what happened to you? Where did you go and why didn't you say goodbye to me? I haven't asked you why you have disappeared? Oh God, if it wasn't your destiny to find out who the man I considered as a child was, you would still continue I just keep his secret from me. But I promise that no matter what position the man is in I already consider him as my own son and will protect him with all my soul and body. I will carry out the mandate given by the beautiful woman who just left this place."

Valeri finished her. She took a deep breath and exhaled roughly. She didn't know what to do next. Staying in the treehouse and letting prince Lionel look for her was unwise. She had been hiding the place all this time and Valeri didn't want anyone else to know about the tree house including prince Lionel.

After tidying up the place Valeri then stood up and in an instant he was in his yard. She was stunned to see that Prince Lionel was already standing in front of the house. She pretended to take the firewood that was under her and carried her inside.

"Where have you been for so long? I looked for you everywhere and couldn't find you. I was really confused looking for mom because since that morning she didn't show up. I wanted to eat but I was afraid that mom would be angry when I saw the food that you provided me ran out of.'

Valeri widened her eyes when she realized that she was gone all day. She never thought that his departure would starve Prince Lionel.

"I'm sorry! You shouldn't have waited for me earlier. I just had an interest in someone and never thought that you waited for me all day just to ask me to eat. in a very short distance i will definitely come back and get to eat with you. In fact right now I've really made you suffer by holding him hungry and thirsty."

Prince Lionel shrugs then he reaches out your hand inviting Valeri to come in and sit in the dining room. On the table, the food seemed to have been arranged neatly, which made Valerie frown.

"The food from this morning is still whole like this and you prefer to hold back your hunger just because you're waiting for me? Oh God, I'm sorry that I completely forgot that my son hasn't eaten yet. Come on, grab it and eat it! and it's not good, of course the stomach is already uncomfortable."

Prince Lionel nodded then he immediately took the plate containing the food offered by his adoptive mother. Without waiting for Valeri's command, he then ate heartily, making Valeri shake his head and feel even more guilty.

The food is delicious and I love mom. Next time, you won't have to cook other types of food. Enough of this food every day I will definitely feel very happy. I'll keep trying to earn money so I can help mom with the daily meals."

"No, don't think like that! You just stay home and help clean the house and pick up firewood. Mother will go out to look for food and money for us to save."

"Mother is old and can't work. I'm still a young person who has to step in to help ease mom's work and even earn money to buy our daily meals. You shouldn't be too tired because when mom is tired I can't have a life support. Mom is my treasure, the only one I have in the world right now."

Neither Valeri nor Prince Leonard was willing to budge. Each continues to try to convince the other party that they are the party most responsible for making a living and providing daily meals.
