Chapter Twenty Nine

Alora almost puked with the speed which the horse ran at. Although she knew it wasn't its fullest speed, it was still too much for her.

Radolph noticed that and he slowed down a bit, giving her time to get herself together before he started riding faster again.

Soon the sun started to set and they had to set camp to make dinner for Alora too. Alora was a bit uneasy about sleeping in a forest. The heart of the forest that is. A tent was set up for her to pass the night.

It took her a while before she could finally get some sleep.

"Alora go…go.. don't worry about me." The same woman called in her nightmare.

"But…."

"Just go….go.."

"Nooo…..mother."

Alora shot her eyes open screaming from her sleep. She looked around with horror. Her breathing was unsteady and her heart was beating wildly in her chest.

"A nightmare?" Radolph asked as he walked into her tent. She nodded gently as he handed her a cup of water which she happily accepted. "Come on. Come take a bath before we set out."

Alora stood up with his help and he led her out of the tent where the men were, preparing breakfast. It was nearing dawn already and was still dark. Radolph walked her towards the nearby lake for her to take her bath there. He handed her the extra cloth he had bought for her since he had sent her things ahead of them.

"Thank you." She collected the clothes, waiting for him to leave her to bathe, but the wolf remained there. "You know I need privacy right?"

Radolph raised his brows. "Why? You're my mate and I don't see what is wrong in seeing you naked."

Alora frowned and he had no choice but to go to the nearest rock and turn his back, letting her have her so-called privacy.

Alora undressed and stepped into the water which was surprisingly warm. While she was having her nice bath, Radolph decided to turn to check on her and luckily, she was backing him with her red hair covering her naked back.

After taking a bath, she dressed and walked towards Radolph, holding her old clothes. "I'm done." Radolph stood up and led her back to camp. Immediately she had her own breakfast, and they set out again.

Immediately they got to the kingdom, their speed increased. Radolph had used a cloak to cover her head so she won't be seen by anyone for only reasons known to him.

As soon as they stepped into the castle walls, Alora didn't notice Radolph's eye color change for a second. She had the feeling of uneasiness again. She could tell that the thing that she said would change had changed already.

Radolph got down from the horse and didn't even look back at her to help her down from the horse. She got down herself and she almost fell.

"Welcome to your new home Alora and mind you, you are never stepping out of those gates ever again." Radolph said coldly, making chills run down Alora's spine. "Leo, tell them to prepare her for tonight's ball."

Leo led Alora away with a confused expression. Their Alpha who was treating their soon to be Luna like a child, suddenly changed as soon as they got to the palace.

Alora too was also shocked but she didn't say a thing. The maids came to help her dress for the ball. The make over unexpectedly took longer than she expected. Immediately after she had lunch, she was dressed till the ball was about to start.

"You will be getting your title as the Luna tonight but you can't start anything till you become eighteen." Leo explained and she nodded. "It is time for you to go now."

Alora was led by some of the maids to the ballroom which was filled with people already.  Radolph was sitting leisurely on his throne and Alora was led to sit next to him which she did nervously.

"We welcome you to our midst Luna Alora. We hope you can lead us as well just like your mate is leading us."

"Now, we'll have Alpha and his mate have their first dance."

Radolph took her hand and leisurely led her to the dance floor. The lights in the ballroom were dimmed and the spotlight was on them alone.

Alora placed her hands on his and his second hand found its way down to her waist. He was much taller than she was and she only reached his chest. She looked up at him and couldn't help but notice his striking features.

As he placed his hand on her waist, her body electrified like when they kissed back in Arran. She looked up at him as they slowly followed the rhythm of the music.

"Enough of staring at me."
