Chapter Thirty

Alora didn't dare to look up at him again till they finished their dance. They had dinner right after the dance, excusing themselves to retire for the night after a long journey. Radolph didn't say any word to her again. It was as if he suddenly grew this hatred since they rode into the castle that evening.

"I know you'll feel uncomfortable sharing a room with me so your room would be prepared for you. And you're still too young for us to have anything together, so I'll be calling my mistress to satisfy me." Radolph stood up not even sparing her a glance as he walked out of the dining room which Alora appreciated a lot but he was shocked to hear he had mistresses. Weren't werewolf alphas dedicated and had just their mates?

Alora was led to her room which was on the other side of the castle. The room was plain white except for the bed covers and the shelf next to the fireplace which were red. There was an armchair before the fireplace. The windows were oversized which complimented the high ceilings and the golden chandeliers that hung down.

"I'll take my leave, Luna. If you need anything just press one of the bells." The maid who brought her in bowed. "Your bath has been prepared in the bathroom."

"Okay thank you." Alora nodded and the maid left the room.

Alora looked at the room appreciatively, walking around to admire despite being tired. She opened one of the doors in the room and looked inside, it was a dressing room filled with dresses from the high ceiling down to the carpeted floor.

Alora walked to the other door in the room which led into the large bathroom where her bath was already prepared for her as the maid had said. There was a bathtub in the middle of the room and it had steam coming out from it, warming up the room. The bathtub had a couple of stairs leading into it which was covered with red floral carpet.

After taking her bath, she dressed herself in a red nightdress she had in her bags and she started arranging the things she brought over from Arran. She was surprised she didn't bring the ancient book with her. She would have sworn she remembered it was the first thing she placed into her bags.

Alora called on the maid who quickly rushed in with her head bowed. "Did anyone open my bags by any chance?"

"No, not at all Luna." The maid replied.

"Okay you can go. Uh what's your name?" Alora asked.

"Anna, Luna." She replied and Alora nodded before she left the room.

The following morning…..

Alora woke up with the sun peeking into the room through the slightly opened curtains. She stood up from the bed and walked towards the slightly opened garden door.

"Wow." She gasped as she stepped into the large garden. The garden was filled with different types of flowers, daffodils, bluebells, larkspurs, roses and jasmines. The garden itself was very large and wide with a tree standing in the middle of the garden with a white swing. And at the other end of the garden stood another swing supported by a rod. There was a table set for our people behind the swing where one could eat and relax.

Alora sat on the swing admiring the beauty of the place. She could get lost in the beauty and calmness the garden was giving.

"Good morning Luna." Anna greeted from behind, making Alora turn her head to look at her. "Your bath is ready Luna."

Alora stood up from the swing and walked into the room. "Would you like to have your breakfast in the room here or in the garden, Luna?" Anna asked.

"Alone?" Alora asked, a bit surprised. She had thought she would be having breakfast with Radolph. But again she wasn't expecting him to have breakfast with her after his attitude last night. He acted as if he wasn't the Radolph that came over to Arran to bring her here. For a second she thought it was just an act there to fool her.

"Alpha is having breakfast with his favorite mistress Luna." Anna replied with her head bowed. The maid was even surprised how an alpha would have his maid and prefer to eat with his mistress. Was Alora that bad or what?

"Okay. I would have my breakfast in the garden." Alora replied and Anna nodded before leaving to set what she asked for.

After breakfast, Alora walked to the other swing at the end of the garden to look at what was on the other side of her garden. She was staring directly outside the palace.

"Wow. What an amazing view." The outside view was the most amazing view she has ever seen. She saw hills and forests and near the castle just a few minutes ride to the end of the other hill where the castle was built on was a beach and an ocean

"Wow." Alora gasped. "I wish I could go there."

Just as she finished the sentence she remembered Randolph's words.

"YOU ARE NEVER STEPPING OUT OF THOSE GATES. EVER AGAIN."
