Chapter 4 - Despair

"Harry." David shifted his head to harry. "RUN!" Before this word even left his mouth, he was already running toward Luna.

"..." Harry was speechless as he immediately shook his head and followed David at full speed.

But the gogan was also not staying idle. As it saw its eye running, it jumped and ran crazily at Harry.

Harry's speed was naturally worse than gogan.  Gogan jumped crazily at Harry.  Harry's eyes darkened and closed his eyes momentarily to bear the monster attack. 

But when he opened his eyes, he saw the monster's hand so close to his body. 

But its green hand was frozen and its whole body was frozen midair. 

"I won't let any of you die." That was Luna's comment as she swiped her hand and the gogan ice scripture broke into pieces along with the gogan body. 

Harry heaved a sigh of relief and thanked Luna. 

Not long after that, the fight ended. No students died but some were injured.  Fortunately no one was critically injured. 

"Let's move on." Luna said after ten minutes.  

And the horde moved on. As they exited the room,  they came across a cliff. 

The path was huge enough to hold 4 students side by side. 

And beside the path was a never ending cliff. It was too deep and covered with fog. 

The path was long as it took 10 minutes just to reach the middle. 

It was calm. Too quiet and eerie. It was calm before the storm.

Suddenly, the land shook. The Dungeon trembled and the land cracked. 

Chaos spread among students and they all desperately ran. 

Luna also trembled as the ceiling fell down. She created a frost wall all around to protect the students. 

But the ice was easily broken by the pieces of ceiling. Some were fast enough to reach the other,  but some fell down to the cliff. 

Among them was Harry. 

Wind pierced his skin as his heart beat increased. 

And then came the sudden impact. 

Bang!

All of the students hit the ground.

"What happened?" Harry opened his eyes.  "... I am Allright!!!" He checked his body and there was not a single scratch.

"Didn't I just fall off a cliff?" He looked up and could see endless up but not  ceiling.

He walked ahead. "Hmm? The land is soft." The land squeezed as Harry moved. It was soft and spongy.

Suddenly, sounds of footsteps came toward him.

A  boy with his hand bleeding was running with tears and fear on his face. Behind him was a gogan chasing after the boy.

Harry shivered as goosebumps appeared on his skin. Without thinking, he kicked the ground and dash off to the opposite direction.

With soft ground, each step lifted him in the air. At first, it was uncomfortable but he got used to it.

He peeked behind and saw the boy falling on the ground. Gogan, catching up to him, graveled the boy and lifted him to its face. 

Harry face was pale and filled with terror when he saw gogan taking a bite off the boy.

The boy couldn't resist and he was eaten. Harry couldn't look further and ran ahead.

Huff! Huff!

He was exhausted. He sat on the ground after making sure he was safe.

He looked at the ring. The golden ring had some cracks. The golden part having cracks made the silver hidden beneath the gold visible.

He was thirsty, so he used the ring. Just by rubbing the ring and focusing on it gave him information of all the items available in the ring.

He thought of a bottle and a dim light glow on the ring. A bottle materialized in some seconds and landed on Harry's lap.

Harry was amazed. He didn't waste time and drank the water.

After gulping all the liquid present on the bottle, he looked around. His mind was in turmoil. He didn't know how to survive in this area and how long it would take the rescuers to come.

After a while, he moved on. He was cautious and didn't forget to look back.

Ba-dum

His heart suddenly beat harder. He started gasping for breath.

At this moment, a gogan suddenly appeared ahead of him. As the monster saw him, it didn't waste a moment before pouncing on him.

"Damn!" Harry cursed but couldn't move his body.

The monster swiped its claw and hit Harry. "gah!" Harry flung back and hit the wall. He spouted a mouthful of blood.

"A-Am I gonna die like this?"

Ba-dum Ba-dum

His heart raced as he was running in the race. The gogan was moving toward him with a smile that was creepy. 

Suddenly,  everything went quiet.  The gogan also stopped in its tracks.

… 

Boom! 

As if something had exploded,  a loud sound of explosion echoed. 

Every monster within the vicinity rushed to the side of the explosion. 

At the site of the explosion,  nothing was damaged.  There was not a single sign of destruction as if no explosion took place. 

But there was something scary.  The gogan who was right ahead of Harry was laying on the ground with its lower body missing. 

Green blood splattered around would make anyone shiver if they saw the scene. 

Tap!  Tap! 

A single footstep echoed.  Every monster shifted their sight at the source of sound. 

The sight of the person made every gogan tremble.

A human who was emitting bright white light walked toward them. From the bottom of his feet to one gets higher than his hair,  and emitting bright thick white light. 

The black hair turned white slowly,  the brown eyes also turned white. The skin broke down and changed the color to bright white as if he was a fairy. 

With deep white eyes staring at the monster's,  his lips curved to show one of the creepier smiles ever seen. 

The smile as if he wasn't looking at the monster but his plaything. 

Every monster there shivered and started to take a step back. 

"Shall we play a game of tag?..." His deep voice reverberated in the monster's ears.  

"If I catch you… your body shall be mine… "
