Telefixation.

After spending too much time in front of the tv. I realized that my life was a joke. I ruined my apartment. Messed up and in tears. The TV flickered on with a bizarre message... "You've been selected for the Intergalactic Game Show!" Before I could realize what it meant, I was slammed through 3 floors of my apartment building, and taken into space. Abducted, and forced into sick games. If only I knew what would happen sooner...

No Loss too Great

"The sight of the battle had shocked all that had viewed it, it was sad, but also full of devotion, anger, too many emotions to count. Ashley stared, her mouth agape as Jack had cut the host down."

"Nobody could really understand why he did it, or why so much emotion was put into the attack."

"Someone really killed a host? I figured they were invincible, that's what's going around at least."

"What a maniac, or a monster. He's both, isn't he..? What a crazy guy..."

That's what was being said as I was forced to rest. My energy wasn't spent, I fainted from the pain, and the damage. Nick had gotten people to get a bunch of medical supplies so he could try to save me. I didn't even know that he was that devoted to my life. A portion of The Hall was sealed off, so that they could all wait for my recovery.

They could have waited in my room with me… I didn't regain conscious completely, but as soon as I could speak, I tried to get the words out "Con… nected… co-.. Conscious..." I dully felt the shock through my mind, I was lucky that they had fallen asleep around me.

Abby had shown herself quite quickly and saw my condition. I spoke to her in my thoughts "Plan went without a hitch." She stared at me, almost emotionless. "Without a hitch?"

I couldn't nod, but I could smile a little, she scoffed and turned away, "how was the fight?"

"Ah, I won. Just barely, though. I was sure I would have died again. With no improvement, either."

She kept her head turned "That would not have been too pleasant. Going through all that again? So soon, too."

"I will get to game 5. And I will return back in time. And I will save everyone within my power. Not a single one would be left to die. Everyone is important."

She took in a deep breath, before her form shifted as she turned back to look at me. "I'm glad you can think like that. It's not just for personal growth you're going through this, right?"

I let out quite a bit of air, a sad attempt at laughing "No- Well- Yeah, a little. In order to save everyone, I need to be fast, and strong enough to do so." I saw her face shift to look a lot more lighthearted. "I should tell you about game 4..."

I looked down at her from where I was laying.

"It's the first combined game. It's extremely competitive. So, it's like a bunch of obstacle courses. Every group around the ship picks 10 people, and we go to the Epicenter. It's the main location for them, supposedly. It's a large area, but not as big as the stadiums. Basically, it's kinda like the floor is lava, but the floor is actually deadly, you basically cannot make a single mistake, or you could fall and die."

My heart dropped, don't tell me they turned Wipeout into a fucking death game. If I could facepalm, I totally would. The future we have in sight is certainly not something I am very excited about.

"Ah, and it's the first elimi-"

"I can tell. I've seen Wipeout before!"

She waited in silence and facepalmed "THAT'S THE NAME OF THAT RED BALL GAMESHOW THINGY"

"You fucking-"

I smiled again, she glared at me, maybe she was waiting for me to finish my sentence. I, however, was not willing to. "I probably won't be allowed to take part in it due to my injuries. Would it be too silly to ask to die here?"

Abby gave me a :^| face.

Then it shifted to >:^|, which made me breathe out again, which made my chest hurt. She must have felt it too, cause she grabbed her chest. I almost "chuckled" again, but tried not to.

"Y-yeah? Duh, you don't want to die here, do you? That'd mean you contradicted yourself, and you must know better than that."

I slowly let out a deep breath, "You're right." I was curious as to what happened in accordance to my volume. I should have totally gotten my volume raised twice from that. I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of Abby, so I tried to say it without messing up, and… "Charact-er prof..ile"

She looked like she was going to mock me. Surprisingly, I was greeted with a crazy volume increase....

What is that? VOLUME 9?? That's an increase of 4- If I can make this process quicker, could I possibly keep killing him and get a giant volume increase? I glanced through everything. I couldn't turn off the TV, however, so it just hung there. I noticed that it didn't actually emit any light. Which proved that it wasn't really a physical object.

So many things have happened… If I do go back again, then I could expect big growth from killing that host over and over… Not to mention I technically get 4 bonus credits, if I make use of the enhanced limbs skill. It would be great if I could get one based on regeneration, if something like this continues to happen every take, I am sure I would need it.
