I frowned as I watched Kaycee in the distance. I was still holding my head, and his entire body felt as though a needle was piercing it. That has never happened to me before. Perhaps I overuse my ability, but when I do, I shouldn't hear any thoughts because they're so clear. It was as if my ability was progressing to the next level. I haven't tried mind manipulation again, but I want to try it—not now, but soon.

'Maybe it's because of the many thoughts that enter my mind.'

"And you were the murderers of the two victims, Allan," Kaycee said.

Neither one of them has broken the silence. Sir Eduard and I looked at Kaycee, who was circling them.

"Let me explain what happened," said Kaycee as she glanced at Eduard. "You are Alfonso. That's your name, right?"

The man with the eyeglasses gave a slight nod. "You sent him here because you planned to kill him while working with Allan, right?"
