Grey Williams

'What the fuck?' Leo said internally. 'What's wrong with this dude, we just met yet he hates me to the extent he is harboring killing thoughts.' Leo had seen the red aura which meant hatred, but there were also wisps of black aura, which meant this dude was beginning to entertain thoughts of killing Leo.

'Really how unreasonable can this dude be, or did I kill someone dear to him in my past life?'

Leo decided to put those thoughts away, he was about to enter the pod, he steadied his mind and went in.

Leo's world slowly changed, until he was in a desert looking environment, it was open with nowhere to hide. Before long the first terror appeared and launched toward Leo.

Leo felt his heart beat rise, right now he was staring at the being that killed his mum and nearly killed him as well, though it was just a simulation. Staring straight at the incoming terror, Leo readied himself, he activated his demon claw gauntlet.

When the terror was within range, it shot out a high speed tentacle attack at Leo, if that attack met Leo's body it would burst a whole through him. Leo's heart rate increased even more when he saw the attack, luckily he was able to steady himself, he quickly side stepped and dodged the attack, he immediate activated Dash and covered the distance between him and terror.

Leo was now within five meters of the terror, he immediately used claw strike to send out purple claw arcs that travelled straight for the terror, the attack hit its mark, causing the Terror to release a high pitched screech. The terror was in pain, but that attack was far from enough to kill it.

Leo on the other hand was ecstatic, just a few days he nearly died just to slightly injure a terror, but now he had given it much more damage than that day, the difference was simply as the sky and earth.

The provoked terror lashed out with three out of its six tentacles, all targeted at Leo. Leo managed to keep dodging the attacks of the Terror, further closing the distance. His technique was neither fancy nor fluid as the silver haired boy, but it got the job done. Soon Leo was above the terror, he had gotten a clear opening, so he began releasing claw strikes, he released four in total, each one digging dip into the terror, after the fourth claw strike, the terror collapsed.

"I got exp from killing a virtual terror?" Leo was pleasantly surprised, this just gave him even more drive.

Ten minutes later.

The second Terror collapsed.

Leo was happy for the Exp, he wanted to kill more, but they fatigue in his body was building up fast.

"Shit, if this continues then that piece of shit will win." Leo really did not want to lose against that dude.

"Well I've just got to push."

The third Terror appeared and the battle began. It took close to thirty minutes for the fight to end, Leo had defeated the terror, but he was not unscathed, a couple cracked ribs and turn up flesh, but Leo still pressed on to the next fight. One would ask what was pushing him, Leo was actually very stubborn and strong-willed, he would always want his method to be used, though it seemed all that died when his mother died. But today that strong will had returned to him.

Leo charged at his opponent. Ten minutes later, the terror collapsed, and so did Leo, his body went beyond its limit, accompanied with multiple injuries.

The pod opened and Leo came out, the instructor came and congratulated Leo as he was one of the top scorers in this test, as many could not get pass three, only a few killed three, and a handful killed four, as for five, they were only three of them.

Leo was barely listening to the congratulations he received, his eyes were trained on a silver haired bastered that had a smile on his face, which translated to. "I am better than you." The Silver haired boy then turned to leave, since he had seen Leo's performance. To be sincere, he felt threatened by Leo after seeing his fight. 'What type of drive is that?' he remembered how Leo refused to back down with a battered body.

"Hey that was intense man," A student came and stood beside Leo, he had watched Leo's fight. He was a normal black haired, average height guy. He noticed that Leo's gaze was on the departing back of the Silver haired guy.

"Don't beat yourself up, that dude comes from a powerful genetics family, the Silva's, they possess a powerful lightning type ability that is passed generation to generation. That dudes name if Luke Silva."

Leo heard what the guy beside him had said, but in his heart he had set Luke as one of the battles he must win to get stronger. Leo turned to the guy and introduced himself.

"I am Leo Ezra, nice to meet you." This was basically the first student Leo had really interacted with since he came to the academy.

"Grey Williams." The boy said before shaking Leo's outstretched hand. "You are quite strong bro, you managed to kill four, most people like myself got two." Grey spoke in a casual tone.

Leo simply smiled and said.

"I don't know how I did it myself, it was like I was possessed."

"Yeah right?" Grey spoke rolling his eyes.

But in all honesty, Leo was not lying, it was as if he was drunk with the fight, he kept going, enjoying it more and more as he went on, even now he was tempted to jump back into the pod, to get that feeling again.

Grey invited Leo to get lunch before their next class, Leo was happy to oblige, it would be nice having a friend here since his old ones were not here.
