C 12. Endless Passageway!

Adam was vastly educated with many things from the Elder that he hoped he would just blink and found himself in the Mother City.

Never in his life had he wished and desired something more than to find himself in the City.

They were in that situation when the bubble began to pop out. They landed on the ground, a wave of dizziness swept them all but some returned to normal faster than most.

A brown coloured hooded robe wrapped around everyone. Attached to the robe a palm-size circular glass.

Most of them did not know when the robe wrapped on them because their mind was dizzy and when they stabilized they were startled.

A wave of commotion happened as they checked the new attire and also checked the palm-size circular glass. They realized the circular glass was an ID glass.

It will serve as their Identification wherever they go in the maze and also Mother city.

While others were still checking on the Glass, some were observing the door that stood before them. It was slightly open but enough to allow hundreds of people to pass at a time.

Samuel without delay ran forward as their group was at the forefront. He jumped three-meter up looking at his people and shouted, "Let go."

All that came from the Ancient Turtle felt themselves resonating with his call and ran to follow him.

They are the first to enter the door.

From then on group after group copied him and some used other means to call upon their people.

There are many people, even though the arrangements are based on group, but the tendency of staying with another group is possible, especially if one is close to another group.

But each cry will identify which group of people is moving forward.

Crying out loud in calling the respective members isn't the only way. Some as the leader ran forward light appeared on the members' heads. There was one of them that sneaked to some group, seeing a light shine over his head make him return.

From another nation, the leader roars and transforms into a wolf and all others that are behind him transform into the wolf and follow. This made a lot of people who were watching gaped.

"How can they transform without having an Orb?" Ladi was puzzled as everyone.

"It's the leaders' transformation effects." A young man said. Adam was closed but he did not utter anything. But people of their tribe were clustered in one place.

When Daniel and his clan members entered the door they met with a long wide spacious passageway.

As they moved forward, several kilometres ahead they met with another door. The door is a single double door fixed only at the centre.

The left side is pushed inside which opens a way in and that makes the right side pull backwards another passage.

If the door was adjusted it would be seen as a dead-end. Samuel as the leader ran and entered the right side, and the rest followed him.

It was the same spacious passageway, and Samuel did not relent as he continued jugging. As he is at the far front, other older cousins are at their far back in a way they cover the front and back of their group.

Because there are a lot of children that are within the age of eleven to fourteen. The job of the older ones is to make sure they keep them safe even if everything seems safe.

Several kilometres away, they met with another door. This time the right was pushed in while the left was pulled out. The same choice Samuel made as he sprints to the right.

The third, fourth, fifth.... They kept meeting the same kind of doors and passing through. Daniel increased in his speed and met the pace of Samuel.

"Hey, how about we take a break. A lot of them are tired."

Samuel did not bother with replying but increased his speed. Daniel knew not to pursue the request any more.

As the clan members reached him he whispered some words to a young lady. While she raised her voice saying they are yet to reach a suitable location to rest.

But then she said to Daniel, "Tell me what he said."

"He said nothing. He only glanced at me and increased his speed."

"Why did he change? Ever since he came back from the elder he has been in a bad mood. I tried asking him, but he said it was nothing.

But I know something is bothering him, and he did not want to burden me with it. Still, that shouldn't be the reason for this ever sprinting. Those kids might go for kilometres, but it's not wise to exhaust them. And …."

"Cough"

"You should be closer to him than me by now. But if he did not tell you then maybe you just wait till he calms down."

'She talks a lot especially if she is worried. And too bad as his fiancée and badly in love with him, he hates sharing his matters with her!'

Met with an upset Samuel, the Strong Bone clan members did not get saliva or rest until night came. It was then the gemrays in the wall dim.

This time around, Samuel did not enter the door, but he pushed the right side, surprisingly the door moved. He pushed it until he aligned it with the sidewall.

As he pushes the right part of the door the left part is pulled back. The whole passageway closed and turned into a dead end.

Samuel turned, "Mole, take your team and scouts two-kilometre back. Ravens, you and your team probe the sky for us. Tiger and Lion, your team set a perimeter and switched on guards!"

In one breath he barked some orders. And all went to carry their mission smoothly. The Mole team came back with no news of anything within several kilometres.

The long passage was long and every few kilometres they met two ways indoor. As for the ravens' they couldn't reach the ceilings, no matter how they shoot their light arrow into the sky it will illuminate till the momentum reaches zero and the light arrows return.

He gave orders to set up camp and give everyone half an hour. They set their abode and cooked some food, and they slept afterwards.

Unfortunately for them, four hours later despite it being night, Samuel urged everyone up, and then they ran again.
