Rose Family

Ava was in shock when Zeke informed her that he had just acquired Greenhill City.

It was too fast.

Ava did not believe what she was hearing.

Zeke wanted to conquer all the other families in this city.

But he didn't expect the other families to easily give up.

When the other families learned of the fall of the Johnson family, they quickly submitted to Zeke.

Within a week, Zeke had acquired most of the families.

They didn't bother resisting. After all, they were already under the rule of the Johnsons. Now that a power even stronger has appeared, who would be stupid enough to resist?

The only ones left are some families that are already vassals of the Yates Family, the Serrano Family, and the O'Connor Family.

This time, those three families have also learned of Z-Tech's existence.

// Crystal City //

In the mountains, there stood a mansion.

At this time, the three patriarchs are inside a conference room. It was an extremely rare occasion to happen.

The families are usually always fighting against each other.

The three patriarchs are named Damian Yates, Emmanuel Serrano, and Connor O'Connor.

The three are not very fond of each other, but they have no choice but to hold this meeting.

Emmanuel started to speak. "Do you have any idea who this company belongs to?"

"No idea. It could be one of the big families from the Capital City" Damian responded.

"I have already sent my men to investigate them, they should have the answers we need," Connor spoke.

"This is bad. If they can conquer the Johnsons that fast then there's no doubt they could do the same to each of us." Emmanuel was getting worried.

"This is a matter that we can no longer ignore. If we do not unite ourselves against them, they will swallow us whole."

Damian spoke, "If what you say is true, then we must not let this chance pass us by."

"I agree. If we join hands against this new power, then there is no way they can defeat us. The only question is, do you think they will surrender if we give them an ultimatum?"

The three leaders were in deep thought.

Damian looked at his two fellow patriarchs. "Even if they do not, we will make sure they fall. The three of us, united, cannot be defeated."

Connor nodded.

"Then let us do so."

"I have a few hundred elite soldiers," Emmanuel added.

"My men have all the equipment and resources needed to destroy this company."

"We should wait until we find out more about this new player before making our next move," Emmanuel said.

"Yes. Let's wait for their report first," Connor agreed.

The three agreed on the course of action.

The meeting was adjourned.

They now await the reports on Z-Tech.

Meanwhile, in Greenhill City, Avery Johnson had just entered Z-Tech's office.

When she found out that her family was in trouble, she rushed back to the city.

Now, she was in the office of her family's new boss.

She had a complicated feeling inside her.

The news that Z-Tech was now in charge of Greenhill City shocked her to her core.

She never imagined that her family would lose this fast.

'What will become of me now?' She thought.

As she entered, Ava was there in her office.

Ava was currently busy making plans about the management of each family. Although she had a whole board of directors who could help her, she preferred to do it herself.

As she heard the door open, Ava looked up.

"Avery. I didn't expect you to be here."

"Miss Ava, Mr. Brown told me to come here and be of help," Avery said.

"Oh?" Ava was a little surprised.

"You must be a very talented woman for Mr. Brown to recommend you so highly. I am impressed."

"T-Thank you for the praise. I-I don't deserve such high praise."

In reality, Zeke simply wanted Ava to have some help and maybe a little bit of company. He can't keep overworking her, right?

Ava smiled warmly.

"Thank you again. You're very kind."

"Come, have a seat," Ava said.

Avery sat down on one of the chairs.

"I'm curious. Since you are from the Johnson family, how much do you know about our company?"

Avery thought for a second before replying.

After my father investigated the company, we received reports of everything about the company but the true owner. Since you are the current head of the company, we first assumed that it was your Rose family that was behind this company.

But my father knew that wasn't the truth. Please forgive me for my next words, Miss Ava, but the Rose family isn't capable enough to make a company grow at such an alarming rate. The company is already an established force and it has been growing at a breakneck speed."

Ava laughed.

"I don't blame you. Your words are very true. My family has always been struggling with all the internal fighting. Don't worry, I don't hold much feelings for the Rose family.

In fact, I would rather it burn to the ground than stay there any longer. My loyalty lies solely to the Z-tech now."

Ava thought for a moment.

"Well, I'm glad that you came to our company. We are very much in need of people who can help us manage the company. It has become too big to handle."

Avery nodded.

"Yes, I am very glad that I came here as well."

"Miss Ava, may I ask you a question?"

"Of course. Ask away."

"Who exactly is Mr. Brown?' Avery asked.

Ava paused for a moment.

"Even I don't know his true origins. Don't worry about it. Let's get started then."

As the two worked together, discussing and organizing their plans, Ava couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She was building something great, and with Avery's help, she knew it would only get better.

The future was bright for Z-Tech, and she was excited to see what it would bring. She knew that with Z-Tech's status, once they find out who's at the helm, they'll no longer bother her.

// Rose Family //

In the mountains near Greenhill City, was the Rose family's estate.

Inside the Rose Manor, people were moving about.

One of the people was a young woman in her late teens who was sitting on the couch, reading a book.

"Lily? What are you doing?" The voice came from a woman with black hair.

She walked over to the girl and sat down beside her.

The young woman named Lily looked at her and smiled.

"Hi, Mom. I'm just reading a book. I was bored, so I wanted to read something."

"Hmm... I see." The woman smiled.

"How's sister Ava?" The Lily asked.

"I have no idea. I haven't heard from her in a few weeks." The woman answered.

Lily was worried.

"Oh, I see. I hope she is ok. She doesn't really contact us that much nowadays."

"Don't worry about her. She's a tough one. She can handle herself. She just needs some time to figure things out."

Lily nodded.

"I know."

"Well, it's getting late. You should go to bed soon. I'll be back in an hour.

If you get sleepy, go to your room."

"OK, Mom. Goodnight."

"Goodnight." The woman replied.

Lily continued to read her book.

The woman was Ava's mother, Sheila.

She hasn't heard from Ava in weeks.

This time, a maid walked to Sheila and bowed. "Madam, you are being called to the study room"

Sheila nodded and followed the maid.

After the maid had left, a middle-aged man was waiting for her.

"Sheila." He called her name.

"Yes, my love?"

The man was Ava's father, Edmond.

Edmond said, "We received a report about Z-tech."

"Oh? What is it?"

Edmond took out a piece of paper and handed it to Sheila.

She took the paper and read it.

Sheila was shocked.

"What?! Z-Tech? Ava?"

Sheila couldn't believe it.

They naturally heard of the news of how the Johnsons submitted to a new company, Z-Tech.

She didn't want to believe it was Ava's company, but the description was exactly the same.

"It can't be! That's not possible! How can she produce such a miracle company?!"

Sheila was still in denial.

Edmond said, "There's only one way to know for sure. We must ask Ava herself."

"That's right. Where is she now?"

Edmond took out another paper.

"Z-Tech Tower"

"That's..."

"Yes. That's Ava's company." Edmond said.

"My daughter... has grown up."

Sheila was very proud.

Even Edmond couldn't help but have a slight smile.

"Shall we go see her?"

"Of course" Edmond replied.

It was almost as if they had already forgotten why Ava left in the first place.

"Call the young master of the Yates family and tell them we no longer wish to have any business with him and call off their wedding plans."

With that, Sheila and Edmond left for Z-Tech Tower.

The next day.

Inside a car, the couple were heading towards the city center.

Ava was not shocked when she heard the news.

Sheila and Edmond, her parents, had just arrived at Z-Tech and wanted to speak to her.

Ava knew they would find out sooner or later.

When she was informed that her parents were at the door, she instructed the guard to let them in.

The car pulled up outside the front of the building and the couple exited it.

"This is..." Sheila was awed at the sight.

"It's incredible..." Edmond said.

The couple went up to the building and got in the elevator.

As the elevator ascended, Sheila was still awed by the luxurious decorations.

"I can't believe this is Ava's company. She's done such a great job..."

The elevator stopped on the top floor and the couple stepped out.

They entered Ava's office.

Ava looked at the two people who had just walked in and smiled.

"I knew you two would come eventually."

"Ava... you have done so well for yourself..."

Sheila was extremely happy to see her daughter doing well.

Ava replied, "Thank you, Mother."

"Ava... I'm sorry." Edmond apologized.

"I'm sorry for the way we treated you. We were wrong."

"I am truly proud of you."

Edmond continued, "If you would, we would like to start anew. Please come back to the Rose family."
