Chapter 9 (happiness 6)

After a few minutes of searching, Tangero finally found the key to the secured vault. He hurried back to the library, where General Kaizo was waiting impatiently.

"I found it," Tangero said, holding up the key triumphantly.

General Kaizo let out a sigh of relief. "Good. Let's get to work."

As they walked towards the secured door, Tangero couldn't help but feel a sense of tension and intrigue. He wondered what kind of information lay behind that door, and why it was so important to General Kaizo.

"Are you ready for this, Tangero?" General Kaizo asked, sensing his unease.

"Yes, sir," Tangero replied, trying to sound confident.

General Kaizo nodded and inserted the key into the lock. The door creaked open, revealing rows upon rows of books and documents.

"This is it," General Kaizo said, gesturing towards a shelf at the far end of the room. "The information about Sylveria's pipelines and power grids is stored right there."

Tangero felt a shiver run down his spine as he followed General Kaizo towards the shelf. The documents were thick and heavy, bound in leather and embossed with the seal of the military.

"These are some of the most sensitive documents we have here," General Kaizo said, his voice low and serious. "They contain information that, if it fell into the wrong hands, could put the entire base at risk."

Tangero nodded, feeling the weight of the responsibility on his shoulders. He knew that he needed to be careful, that one wrong move could have disastrous consequences.

"Let's get started," General Kaizo said, flipping open one of the documents. "We have a lot of ground to cover."

As Tangero and General Kaizo began to sort through the documents, Tangero couldn't help but notice that something seemed off. He had expected to see detailed schematics of the pipelines and power grids, but instead, the documents seemed to be more focused on a different type of information.

"Sir, I don't understand," Tangero said, pointing to a page in one of the documents. "This isn't about the pipelines or power grids. It's about something else entirely."

General Kaizo's expression darkened as he glanced at the page Tangero was pointing to. "That's because there's more to this than just the pipelines and power grids," he said, his voice low and serious. "There's something else we need to find."

Tangero's heart skipped a beat. He had no idea what General Kaizo was talking about, but he could tell from the man's tone that it was something important. Something dangerous.

"What is it, sir?" he asked, trying to keep the fear out of his voice.

General Kaizo hesitated for a moment before finally speaking. "There's a covert operation being planned against our enemies in Chata-Novarctica," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "It involves a new type of weapon, one that could change the course of the war."

Tangero felt his stomach drop. He had heard rumors about a new weapon, but he had never imagined that it would be something so devastating.

"What do we do, sir?" he asked, his mind racing.

General Kaizo's expression was grim. "We need to make sure that this information doesn't fall into the wrong hands," he said. "We need to keep it safe, no matter what."

Tangero nodded, feeling the weight of the responsibility on his shoulders. He knew that he couldn't fail. The fate of the base, and perhaps even the entire war, depended on him.
