"What did you do to my mother?" Kara attacked Carlos as soon as Sianna was out of the living room and they were on their own.
"Apart from keeping her happy while you were away? I didn't do anything, I promise." He raised his hands in mock surrender but she didn't believe him. He must have done something to make Sianna Williams, who hated seeing men close to her daughter for fear that they might take her away, suddenly appreciate him.
"Whatever it is you did, I will undo it."
"What are you doing, honey, you're scaring him!" Sianna pulled her away when she caught them arguing.
"Look how sad he is now that you yelled at him." She cupped Carlos's face like he was dear to her.
"What? Okay, that's enough. Carlos, you're leaving." She couldn't believe what was happening. Without paying heed to her mother's complaint, she grabbed his hand and escorted him out the door, shutting it behind him.
"What did you do that for?" Sianna complained.
