Chapter 80

"I don't know what you are talking about, Your Majesty, I was just…" She stopped speaking when Delaney's eyes reddened. She had only heard about demons before and although everyone in the castle now knew who Delaney was, she was horrified when she saw the fire demoness transforming right before her.

"I don't know her!" She hurriedly explained to get herself out of trouble. "I swear. All I know is that she's a woman I've never seen before. She asked me to get His Highness and give him to her. That's all."

She had thought Delaney would calm down once she confessed all she knew but to her shock, she growled in anger.

"You were willing to give him away? My son?" She dragged the maid away and only stopped at the Frozen Lily, where no one else was around. She grabbed the maid by the neck. "You came to the castle as a young maiden with no home and Darius took you in. Is this how you repay him, by colluding with someone else to harm his child?"
