CHAPTER 66

Months after Madison started living with Reuben in his mansion,he suggested they should both go and pay her mother a visit and gladly Reuben agreed.

At Graceland Teaching Hospital.

Madison and Reuben walked up to the receptionist,smiling.

"Hi Carolina".She greeted.

The receptionist,Caroline reciprocate her smile."Hi madison,who is this hottie?".

"Reuben,her boyfriend".He leans in and shook her hand.

Blushing,Caroline laughs."Nice to meet you Reuben".

Madison rolls her eyes before saying."How is my mother doing?".

"Am afraid i can't tell you that,you have to meet with the doctor".She threw her an apologetic glance."I heard that your mother is not going to receive any treatment if you don't pay for your hospital bills,is increasing everyday darling".

"I understand,thanks....Let's go Reuben".She says and walk away as he follows.

Room 314

Madison knocks and opens the door as Reuben follows and set the bag of fruits on the table.

"Maddy dear,is that you".Her mother,Susansays in a broken voice.

"Mother".She rushes up to her and helped her sit up.

"Maddy baby,you came at last".And she threw her arms around her."I..I missed you".

"Me too,mother....am sorry i didn't visit,uncle refused to let me see you-".

"Why would your uncle Ben".She coughs. "Do that".

"H...he....Mother,he tried to rape me".She said in between cry."Mother,he wanted to".She cried harder.

"T...that big bastard,i gave you to him and he dares to do this,I...I swear-".

"No worry ma'am he's in where he belong now".Reuben says,announcing his presence.

Pattie shifted her gaze to the intruder."W...who are".She coughs."Who are you?".She coughs harder as Madison handed a hanky to her.

"Easy mother".She whispers.

"Ow!me?am her boyfriend".

Pattie eyes shot open."Boyfriend?Madison,where did you find this charming boy?".

She giggle."I will tell you all about it but first let's discuss about your health,huh?".

Pattie coughs."Am alright,darling-".

"You can't lie to me mother,am no longer a kid!".She snaps."How are you fine when you're lying down on a sick bed coughing out your throat,cut the bullshit and tell me,Now!".She commanded.

"She's kind of fierce and demanding".Pattiewhispered to Reuben and he nods in agreement.

Madison narrows her eyes."You know i can hear you,right?".

Pattieheaves a sigh."Fine".She stressed."The doctor said it's cervical cancer,stage 2B an advanced stage".Her reply left the entire room to

quiet down."Go get me water,darling..my throat feels dry".

"Reuben help me-".

"No dear,I want you".Pattierefuses for Reuben to go.

She nods and exit the room as Reuben pads his feet toward the bed.

"What do you want to tell me,ma'am?".

"Clever boy".She coughs."I want you to care of my baby girl,she has gone through a lot of pains and i don't want her to anymore".

Reuben nods."You will be alive to see her happy ma'am,am thinking of taking you abroad for proper treatment,what do you say?".

She shrugs."Anything that would make me live longer to see her happy then I agree".And her lips pathed into a warm smile.

After their visit,Reuben went over to school while Madison stayed at home cooking Reuben's favourite dish.

The bell rang as the door opens.

"Reuben is that you?You're home early,how was...".Her voice trails off as she was now staring at two unfamiliar people."Er...how may i help you?".She questioned while wiping her wet hands on her apron.

The old lady's face scrunch in disgust."No,the question is how may i help you".The old lady retorts.

"Are you the servant here?".The man asked.

"No!".Madison fired back.

She couldn't believe she was called a servant in her own house,besides who was this two strange people?'.She wondered.

"I asked again,how many i help you!!-".The door burst open as Reuben barge in.

"Mother!Father!have told you to stop entering my house without my permission".He scolds.

"Is that how you greet your parent you haven't seen for a while,huh!!!".His father,Mr.Jason questioned,his voice carrying authority.

"Sorry".He quickly apologized,lowering his head.

"Who is she?Don't tell me is the lady you told us you're in love".Mrs.Lillian,his mother took off her glasses,her lashes flicking up and down checking her out."She definitely looks nothing like what you showed me".

"Ow,i. ..that".He moved to Madison and pulled her in his embrace."That was Linda but she cheated on me and i met Madison and we fell in love-".

"I don't like her".Mrs.Lillian stated.

"You have to,she's the one your son loves".

"Tomorrow is family reunion,stop being stupid and come home!!".His father snapped and storm off.

"I don't know how you do it but come along with this Linda not someone like her".With that Lillian,walked away.

"I can see why you don't come home do often".Madison said sarcastically.

"It isn't funny,my parent doesn't like you-".

"And i don't care".She deadpan and went over to the kitchen.

"You're right,i don't give a shit about what they think,all that matters is you".

Madison nods in agreement and embrace him."You're right".She whispered.

"You know what?we ain't gonna go".She heard him say with confidence.

Madison glares murderously at Reuben standing beside her while looking up at his parent's mansion.

"I thought we weren't going to come here,you tricked me".She hits his chest and brush past him as he chased after her.

"Maddy wait-".

"Don't call me that!!".She scowl.

"Am sorry ok....i just wanted you to see my parents,my family....I want you to be in my world,please".He pleads.

Seeing the sadness in his beautiful eyes,Madison felt her cold heart melting."Damn you,why are you so beautiful".She took his soft cheek in her hand and snuggle it.

"Young Master".Someone called as they quickly separate.

"Oh Nanny,Madison this is nanny and nanny this is my girlfriend Madison".He introduced.

Before Madison could speak,a harsh and guttural voice interrupts."No time to talk,now come in!!".Jason sneered at them and strode in as they all follows.

"Reuben baby...".Lillian voice dies off on seeing Madison.

"I just knew you wouldn't listen,you never did,Reuben!".They all heard Lillian say."That's why i went myself to look for Linda".

Reuben mouth fell open in shock."M...Mother".He utter with a grimace.

Linda step in with a huge smile across her face."Hey,Reuben darling".She said seductively

Meanwhile in an expensive diner,Ted and Gowon matched in as they were showed their seats.

"Ted,this is beautiful but expensive".Gowon says as he pull out a seat for her and she sat down.

"I just wanted to make up for what i did".He said and took his sit.

Gowon giggle and lean closer."You did that after losing your virginity to me".She winked at him causing his ear to turn pink.

"Gowon!".He scolds and buried his red face in the menu.

She laughs. "I can't believe you were a virgin,never mind seeing how naive and innocent you are,it's possible".She ended it with a shrug.

Ted puffs."Am not naive!!".He harumph as a waiter stops before them.

"What can i get ya?".He questioned.

"We will have what is on menu 5 and for dessert we will have what is on menu 35".

The waiter nods and walk away.

Quickly,Gowon checks what's on the list as her eyes widens."T...t...this is toooo expensive".She draws.

"Nothing a virgin can't pay for".She heard him say,sounding annoyed.

"Aww,hey!babe,don't be annoyed regardless you were a virgin i liked it,you know why?".

He shook his head and picked up a glass of water.

"Cause i was the one to take that away and in the process you gave me a baby".

"WHAT!!!".Her last statement made him choke on his water.
