C254: Slow Motion

"Sweet white flower watched by black and white view. The air is windy and the sea is weavy. My well of love has spring up. Come and find me my little bone of love." The angelic but childish vocal sang. Her feet skips as she neared the school gate. Her black and white hair swayed. Her feature was a mixture of Lorelei and Glockenspiel. Her step paused when the chubby charming boy froze in her front. She can feel the intense gaze he release. She raised her small fist and punch his chubby cheek.

"What are you looking at pervert!" She scolded.

Urchin had his face kiss the ground. He can't help but be giddy.

Fur and the triplets run toward the two. Fur helped Urchin to stand up.

"What is wrong? Are you alright?" Fur inquired in concern.

Urchin was about to speak but the young girl shrilled.

"Your son mr. is a pervert. His eyes were twinkling when he saw me." The young girl pointed.

Urchin defended himself but the girl startled pulling his hair. Fur and the triplets tried to stop them when a voice called out.

"Ole! What are you doing?"

The gang looked up to see and older version of Kish. But his facade is still a baby face.

"Urchin!" Kish spoke in amazement.

After the enrollment Kish tag along with Urchin and Fur. He visited the current house and only to be surprised how they manage the business. When Kish can see the asian touch his mind got reminded of Seinna and Sage.

Kish sat in front of the gang with Kennan and smiled.

"Young lady introduce your self."

The young girl with Ophir and Lehi's feature stood up and bowed her head as she spoke.

"Hello, My name is Ole Lattice Lorelei Glockenspiel."

When Kennan, Ain and Fur heared the name. They swear that their skin hair stood up in unison from the excitement.

"How old are you?" Fur asked.

"I am seven years old."

"Where is your mother?" Ain added

The girl suddenly teared up and cried.

The gang just sweat dropped and Urchin suddenly held her hand and said.

"Do you want to play with us?"

The girl nodded and followed the kid. Urchin gave the older guys an assurance that he will be able to lead the kids. Ain and Fur bowed their head in gratitude. Urchin is truly the most mature among them.

When Kish heared about what happened and also noted their current concern. Kish started to speak about his experience.

"We got positioned in a different era. Eyel and I searched for the rest of the gang but nothing occurred. The two of us decided to build a family and would just wait. Approximately we waited for forthy years to see you guys."

"I see, it must have been tough on you." Ain commented with compassion.

"Yes, we only have each other but when Lehi got born we realised that we are placed in that time for her to be birthed. And then one day she just came home pregnant. She told us about the El Oathniel and Tale Bearers. Gladly we are able to understand her but when the date of Gardenia's death got embarked on the calendar. Eyel suddenly died and Lehi got eaten by a bright yellowish and bronze like light and vanished." Kish spoke.

Ain mourn once more. His self esteem got stirred up.

"How old was Ole before Lehi disappeared?" Kennan asked.

"Three years old." Kish confirmed.

"I see, so it was Eyel who died from that time. She is a time honoured." Kennan remarked.

"We were late." Ain stated.

Kish's face became gloomy as his lashes shadowed the sadness he has been carrying.

"No, sealing the cracks were not the solution back then. It's breaking the whistle. Eyel got offered for another era to open and the others became the seal for the future time to be preserved." his voice whispered.

Ain and Fur were speechless. They took the wrong action back then that leads to Eyel's death and for the others to be sealed in between times?

"Do... do you have any idea where the whistle might be?" Ain asked.

"No." a short response from Kish.

Kish and Ole went home. Ain proposed that Kish should move in and he was pleased with the offer. Ole gave them a wide grin symbolising Ophir's smile.

Ain was surprised that he suddenly remembered Lehi. He can't recall her back then but he knew that someone was missing from the team since Eyel and Kish's wedding. Whenever Ophir would stand it felt like the view was not complete. When Ain heared the little girl's name his memory instantly flashed back.

Selah reached out her tiny arms and pinch Ain in the face. Her giggles continued when Ain started laughing. Ain some times can feel that Selah inherited her father's insensitive and bullying pranks. Ain held her in his arms as she spoke her first word.

"Ain.. A.. in.. ainnn."

Ain immediately teared up and wished Hexel would be the one to recieve such blessing.

Kennan can see that Kish knew what he has done. Kish did not directly said that he is the main reason of Eyel's death but his eyes intentionally pierced his heart. It was his selfish decision. He was just scared of losing them all that he needed to decide an alternative to protect them from himself.

He was unable to protect anyone back then. Even Novena whom he loved died, out from his lense. He knew it was Evi who killed Novena and Bethany but he was unable to gather any solid proof.

When Selah suddenly spoke to him before she give birth his head went crazy. Selah's premonition exactly happened.

"Kennan I will die before a trial befall this place. Blood will spill. Weeping will last and this place will become a history. Even so, don't allow Ophir to blow the whistle. You can't destroy it either if you do. Death will loom over the Tale Bearers."

Kennan pondered before what she meant but her chorus got replayed in his mind.

"The darkness will bear a fruit in the light. Pray for the light."
