Falling For Her

Ian's phone rings, his eyes glancing at it.

"It's Marcus."

Emily nods, watching as he answers and puts it on speakerphone.

"Hey Ian, any chance you want company tomorrow night? I have told Avalyn we need to come around, people seeing her there will help make it look like she is still living there." Ian feels his head nodding.

"Sure, say eight?" He will have a plan, what though he doesn't know.

"Yeah it is fine, see you then." The phone cuts out, and Emily looks at him waiting.

"Plan Ian?" Ian glances around; maybe it is time to change and accept Cain dragged him into a life that means he has no choices.

"I remove Marcus from the situation, tell Avalyn why, and she moves back in here. Then I deal with Mr Cortez." Emily laughs nervously, her eyes widening.

"You can't kill Marcus. You were just saying Ian, that you can't do that. I can't keep closing my eyes and pretending shit isn't happening!" She has been doing it years to save herself.
