Chapter 10

As Satoru stood there, frozen in fear, I couldn't help but relish in the power I held over him. The audacity of this human to deceive me, to pretend to be lost and vulnerable. I could see right through his feeble act.

"You think you can fool me, little human?" I sneered, my voice dripping with disdain. "I can smell the deceit on you. What is your true purpose here?"

Satoru stammered, his eyes darting around nervously. "I-I... I just... I was curious about the forest and... and I got lost. I didn't mean any harm, I swear!"

I scoffed, unimpressed by his feeble attempt at an explanation. "Curiosity killed the cat, they say. And it seems your curiosity may just be your downfall as well. But tell me, why should I spare you? Why shouldn't I use you as bait for the demons?"

Satoru's voice trembled as he pleaded, "Please, I didn't mean to intrude. I promise I'll leave and never come back. Just spare me, please!"

I tilted my head, contemplating his words. Perhaps there was some use for this human after all. "Very well," I said, my tone dripping with condescension. "You may leave, but remember this encounter. Cross my path again, and you won't be so lucky."

Satoru nodded frantically, his relief palpable. As he scurried away, I couldn't help but revel in the power I held over him. Humans were so easily manipulated, so easily controlled.

SATORU'S P.O.V

You know what? Fuck your good side, instead I'm going to make your face look like the inside of a pigs asshole! Satoru thought as Ruri was degrading him right in his face, he was trying to be nice and do nothing bad but this fuck just had to be arrogant and so full of himself.

As Ruri continued to belittle me, a surge of anger coursed through my veins. How dare he treat me with such disrespect? I had tried to be civil, but it was clear that diplomacy was not going to work with this arrogant demon. It was time to show him that I was not to be underestimated.

Without hesitation, I shifted into a full sprint stance, my muscles tensing with anticipation. Ruri looked confused, his eyes widening as he tried to comprehend my sudden change in demeanor. But there was no time for him to react.

In an instant, I dashed right in front of him, my leg swinging with incredible force. My famous move, the Roundhouse Kick of Hell, connected with his face, sending him flying backward. The impact was satisfying, the sound of bone cracking echoing through the forest.

Ruri crashed into a nearby tree, his body crumpling to the ground. Blood trickled from his nose, staining the forest floor. He looked up at me, a mixture of shock and anger in his eyes.

"You... you dare attack me?" he growled, his voice laced with pain.

I smirked, relishing in the taste of victory. "You brought this upon yourself, Ruri. You underestimated me, and now you'll pay the price."

Ruri's expression twisted into shock, "How did he know my name?? No more importantly, how did he hurt me!!?? His just a pathetic human!!!!

Ruri wiped his nose and saw blood, lots of blood, "UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed as he looked at Satoru as his hatred grew more and more every second.

As Ruri seethed with anger and hatred, he lunged at Satoru with a primal roar. His claws extended, ready to tear into flesh and spill blood. Satoru, fueled by adrenaline and a determination to prove himself, dodged Ruri's attack with lightning-fast reflexes.

"You think you can defeat me, human?" Ruri snarled, his voice dripping with venom. "I'll show you the true power of a demon!"

Satoru smirked, his eyes gleaming with a newfound confidence. "Bring it on, Ruri. I'm not afraid of you."

With that, the battle began in earnest. Satoru ducked and weaved, narrowly avoiding Ruri's deadly strikes. He retaliated with a series of swift punches and kicks, each one landing with precision and force. The forest echoed with the sounds of their clash, the rustling of leaves and the grunts of exertion.

Ruri, fueled by rage, unleashed a barrage of dark magic. Shadows swirled around him, forming into tendrils that lashed out at Satoru. But Satoru was not so easily defeated. He summoned his own inner power, a surge of energy that coursed through his veins.

With a mighty roar, Satoru unleashed a devastating attack. Waves of energy radiated from his body, pushing back Ruri's dark magic and sending him reeling. The force of the impact sent shockwaves through the forest, causing trees to tremble and leaves to scatter.

Bloodied and battered, Ruri struggled to regain his footing. He glared at Satoru with a mixture of fury and disbelief. "You... you're stronger than I thought," he grinned.

Satoru grinned, not looking any better than Ruri. "I told you not to underestimate me, Ruri hahaha!"

With a final surge of power, Satoru delivered a devastating blow to Ruri's chest. The demon let out a guttural grunt, his body convulsing in pain. And then, he uppercut Satoru in the chin. Both sides wobbled and finally collapsed on the ground.

As both Satoru and Ruri collapsed onto the ground, their bodies battered and bruised, the forest fell silent. The air was heavy with the aftermath of their intense battle, and the sound of their labored breaths filled the space.

Ruri, his voice strained, managed to utter a promise through gritted teeth. "You may have won this round, Satoru, but mark my words, I will have my revenge. You will pay for this humiliation."

With the little strength he had left, Ruri summoned his teleportation abilities and vanished in a swirl of dark energy. Satoru watched him disappear, a mix of exhaustion and triumph washing over him. He had proven himself against the arrogant demon, and now he could rest.

As Satoru lay on the ground, his body covered in cuts and bruises, he couldn't help but let out a laugh. It was a laugh filled with adrenaline and relief, a laugh that echoed through the forest before he eventually fainted. But little did he know, two women had been hiding in the tall trees, observing the entire fight.
