CHAPTER1 :The Beginning Of The End

"Nathan do not touch the radio, you and i know we need every bit of information for our survival "Nathan's mother cried out feeling frustrated of Nathan's actions. "But mother that is all we've been listening to for the past years ever since this war started. Can't we just listen to a little music? All that the radio play all day long it's the number of deaths recorded at every warzone and the depressing sounds of people struggling for safety "Nathan said cuddling himself around a tight Conner. "Nathan, you know it's our safety i want and we can't achieve that without the information we need. It helps us stay alert for any incoming attack " Nathan's mother retorted as she caressed his hair feeling bad for the terrible environment Nathan had to spend his teenage years in. She understood the feeling Nathan had for being able to have a normal life because of the ongoing global war. As she comforted Nathan, Andy his little sister hurried to Nathan's side and gave him a hug. "It's going to be alright big brother; I'll be here to protect you when the enemies attack "she said flexing her slim tiny muscles and tugging the cheeks of Nathan .Nathan giggled drawing Andy near for another hug. Am i invited to join you guys?"Their mother asked emotionally. Andy and Nathan stretched their arms inviting their mother for a hug. Their mother emotionally approached them and joined the hug savoring the moment of having two wonderful children. A streak of tear fell from her eyes as her heart yearned for the return of her husband."Mother ,don't cry big brother and I are here for you even though Father isn't with us anymore I'm sure wherever he is , he's watching over us and his memories live on through us " Andy said wiping the tear off their mother's face and tucking her loosely hair behind her ear .Their mother starred at Andy ,utterly surprised of how matured his daughter had grown these few years .Nathan smiled at his mother's surprised look "she is pretty smart isn't she ?"Nathan smiled feeling happy to have a sister that intelligent .As they were admiring the maturity of Andy ,a weird loud sound erupted from the radio .The voice of a reporter sounded through the radio "this is just in ,it appears Hitler the leader of the Nazis have launched a missiles heading towards the golf coast of the pacific .If you are listening from the golf coast of the pacific please evacuate immediately ". when Their mother heard the news ,her heart stopped beating as the fear of death creeped into her heart . "Hurry lets leave the house now !"she said dragging Nathan and Andy out of the house immediately . when the appeared outside ,a loud siren wailed throughout the town warning the people of the impending doom .They were awestruck as they witnessed their town turn upside down in a few seconds .People running ,others taking advantage of the the opportunity by looting supplies and so forth . Their mother not knowing what to do pushed through anxiously the crowd whilst holding on tightly to her children ,seeking for a safe haven . Whilst they were roaming about the town ,Nathan noticed something "mother ,why are we heading towards the dam ?" he asked feeling hefty about it .Their anxious mother paused in her tracks also realizing what Nathan just said . A loud sound resonated around them as their mother felt her life flash before her eyes .Goosebumps tailed her skin as she raised her head to the skies . She smiled sadly with tears streaming down her delicate face . She turned back to her children "I'm sorry please forgive your mother for not being able to protect you " she said as she hugged her children tightly and tears continue to stream down her face .The missiles immediately appeared within the atmosphere heading straight for the dam .Nathan finally understood why their mother stopped in her tracks cause how fast she ran, she still wouldn't have made it and neither will he nor his sister too. He also let go of his emotions as tears run down his youthful face. he tightens the hug knowing that he will not see his family ever again. "I love you mother, I love you little sis and I hope in the next life I see you again "Nathan said reminiscing about all the good times he had with his family and regretted taking them for granted. immediately he finished, the missiles stroked the dam releasing an endless wave of water rushing like a tsunami ready to destroy everything in its path.In the last seconds of their life Andy suddenly spoke ,"I love you too big brother and I'll always will ". After she was done the wave swept them off the like they didn't even exist in the first place. The wave continued destroying life till all that was left of the town was water. In that particular attack, about hundreds of thousands of lost their lives leaving their loved ones or perishing with them forever.
