V.2 Chapter 5

On a pleasant day, Kakashi and Yukan were training on the same ground as usual.

While Kakashi was attacking Yukan with all the strength he could muster and all the different methods and tricks he could think of, Yukan was busy thinking about different things.

'That blonde boy comes here every day and asks me the same question as a month.' Yukan thought.

Within a month, Kakashi had improved his chakra control and was able to coat some parts of his blade in a very thin layer of lightning.

"This lightning does not give you any big advantage, rather, it just consumes your chakra," Yukan said as he parried the swing Kakashi had just made aiming for his head.

Kakashi was now a little tired and stopped for a moment to catch his breath.

Yukan looked at him and then turned left to look at the blonde kid.

'Kakashi needs someone around the same power as himself. He is already mentally tired from not being able to land a hit on me.' Yukan thought.

Meanwhile, Kakashi, who was now breathing normally, decided to make a sneak attack on Yukan.

First, he checked the distance between them. After making sure that the distance was not much, Kakashi tightened his grip on the blade and leapt in Yukan's direction.

Yukan did not react for a long time and just stood, looking at the other boy swinging his sword in the air.

'Got you.' Kakashi thought in his mind.

As his blade was about to touch Yukan's back, Yukan rotated 90 degrees to the left and avoided the attack.

Kakashi was carried forward with his momentum and due to his feet being in the air, he fell with his face to the ground after covering some distance.

Yukan appeared right beside him, bent down, picked up Kakashi from his clothes and said," I think it would be good to test him once."

"Test who?" Kakashi asked while he dusted off the dirt on his clothes.

Yukan walked forward in the boy's direction.

When the boy saw Yukan approaching him, a happy smile appeared on his face and he ran toward Yukan.

"Hello, Mr What are you here for?" The boy arched his spine forward and greeted Yukan.

"Hello, kid. Do you want to train with Kakashi? That boy over there with grey hair and a mask on his face?"

The blonde boy looked over to Kakashi and then asked Yukan," Will you teach me?"

After a sigh, Yukan said," Alright, I will."

Yukan rubbed his forehead with his fingers, relaxing his head and then took the boy to meet Kakashi.

"Kakashi, meet your new partner, um, wait a minute kid, what is your name?"

"I am Kozuki Shimada, 9 years old." The blonde boy introduced himself.

"I am Yukan Norio and this is Kakashi Hatake." Yukan introduced Kakashi and himself in one go.

After the introductions were over, it was time to test Kozuki's strength.

"Nii-San, will you test his strength?" Kakashi asked.

He was waiting to see his new training partner get beaten up by Yukan.

"No, you will fight him and also, I have told you so many times to call me sensei when we are training," Yukan said. He walked towards a tree nearby and sat in front of it while looking at the two.

On a big ground full of grass rising to ankles and trees spread around randomly, Kakashi and Kozuki stood opposite each other.

"Come on, start now. I can't miss today's fuinjutsu session too. I don't wanna be scolded." Yukan said. He mumbled the last line in a manner that was not clear to anyone. Yukan was also not clear on why Kushina may scold him but he did not want to take any chances.

Kakashi and Kozuki engaged in a hand-to-hand battle for an initial while. None of the two gained an upper hand at all.

'Not bad in hand-to-hand combat.' Yukan thought in his mind as he looked at Kozuki.

The two pushed each other, creating a gap between them, indirectly meaning the end of round one.

At the start of round two, Kozuki leapt to attack first and finally managed to land a hit on Kakashi's left rib, but at the same time, Kakashi also hit Kozuki in his abdomen.

A break for a second occurred and in this break, Kozuki took out a kunai and swung it at Kakashi's mask.

Kakashi reacted fast and dodged it but Kozuki still managed to cut Kakashi a little and make a scratch on his face, tearing his mask a little.

'He has good reaction speed too.' Yukan leaned on the tree comfortably and spectated Kozuki.

By now, Kakashi, who was still in the air from the jump he had made to avoid Kozuki, had taken out three shurikens and threw them in Kozuki's direction.

As the shuriken hit Kozuki, smoke appeared and the sound of a log falling could be heard.

"Damn it!" Kakashi said and tried to sense where Kozuki hid now.

He sensed Kozuki to be right behind him. Kakashi did not move at all, put his hands together secretly in front of his body and made some hand seals.

Kozuki jumped from behind and said in a low voice," Got you."

But, this time, Kakashi disappeared and put a log in his place.

"You are not the only one who knows that. I bet even sensei can do that." Kakashi looked toward Yukan and said,

He knew that Yukan's talent in ninjutsu was bad and thus, he tried to make fun of him, but he did not realize the price he would have to pay for it.

Yukan raised his eyebrows and made an" Are-you-sure-you-wanna-do-it-kid?" expression.

After he saw the hidden smile under Kakashi's mask, he put his hands together and made a shadow clone.

"You go and tell Kushina that I will be two hours late today. There is 'special training' for Kakashi." Yukan said to his shadow clone and then looked straight.

Kakashi now realized what he had done. The so-called 'special training' was nothing other than Yukan sparring with Kakashi, or in other words, beating.

As Kozuki was also lost in thinking about what happened, Kakashi took the moment's advantage and leapt towards Kozuki at a fast speed.
