13. Tiona

Karma was genuinely confused before he tried deactivating his eyes.

[Integration in progress, cannot deactivate]

Karma sighed since someone of the Loki Familia knew one of his secrets. "Can you tell me what do you see?"

"Well your... eh, the normally black part of your eyes is now white?"

"I see. Then can you tell me where the others are? I'm pretty sure it wasn't only you."

"They went to the 17th floor since the Goliath is spawning today."

"Then why are you still here then?"

"I thought it would be more interesting with you."

"Why would you think that?"

"I don't know, maybe just a hunch."

'Weird' "Did anyone else see my eyes?"

"No, you only opened them now."

"Then can you do me a favor?"

"Depends, what is it?"

"I just need you to promise not to tell anybody about my eyes."

"Why, they're so pretty, I'm sure people will find them very appealing."

"That's the problem, they'll attract too much attention. I'd rather not have anyone ask me about them."

"Fine, then you owe me a meal at the Hostess of Fertility."

'That's it?. Well she doesn't know their value so that makes sense.'

"Alright then, but can we go in a few days. My eyes are kind of painful at the moment."

'Plus I don't need someone making another comment.'

"Sure, but are you going to be fine, you can't be an Adventurer if you're blind after all."

"Don't worry about it. They should be fine in a while."

"That's good, I wouldn't wanna drag a blind man to pay for my food."

"Wouldn't that be a funny story?" said Karma sarcastically.

"Of course it would." said Tiona with a cheeky grin.

"By the way, how long have I been asleep?"

"Maybe two hours?"

"That long? I'm sorry for the inconvenience."

"It's fine, it's fine. It was my choice to do this either way. Besides, the others won't be back for a while."

"Alright. Then what do you want to do now?"

"I don't know, any ideas?"

"Hmm, do you know any stories?"

"I know a lot. Wait, let's start with a story about a boy who wanted to be a hero!"

"What's the name of the story?"

"Argonaut!"

'What are the chances...?'

Karma spent the next hour listening to Tiona prattle on about hero stories. He had long regained control of his body, but he enjoyed the sensation of Tiona combing through his hair with her fingers as he laid on her thighs.

That was until he heard the voice of one of the characters he wishes he could kill. "Why are you still with that weakling?" said Bete in a frustrated tone. Karma didn't even look in his direction as he began to tie a piece of fabric around his eyes. "Is the weakling also blind now? I'd like to see how he gets out of the dungeon unscathed." said Bete as he began laughing out loud.

Karma didn't even entertain his antics as he stood up and dusted himself off before turning back to Tiona with his makeshift blindfold on. "It seems like your Familia has returned. Thank you for looking after me while I was still unconscious. If you need to look for me, I'll be at the Takemikazuchi Familia." said Karma as he started using [Total Concentration Breathing] and following up with [Seventh Form: Spacial Awareness] so he could get the layout of the maximum area possible. He located the entrance to the higher floors and started walking towards it, much to the suprise of the Loki Familia. "Bye Karma, don't forget you owe me a meal."

Karma smiled and waved his hand without turning around and continued walking.

He was now trying to activate his Byakugan so that he could see where he was going. The problem with [Seventh Form: Spatial Awareness] is that it requires him to stand still, and it isn't continuous. As he activated Byakugan he felt a little discomfort in his eyes. 'Probably since they are still integrating.' His range was only about 20 meters, but it was still enough for him to maneuver out of the dungeon without encountering any monsters with [Seventh Form: Spatial Awareness].

As he walked out he drew a lot of attention. 'How is a blind man capable of maneuvering in between the crowd?' It didn't make any sense to them since they could see the 'blindfold' covering his eyes. Karma lamentedvon the fact that his blindfold drew so much attention. While he was walking 'someone' threw a rock in his direction, which he quickly caught and threw back without looking in that direction. He already knew it was one of the mob characters he met yesterday. He was too tired to do anything more to the man since the rock had already knocked him over. The already curious crowed was even more shocked at this display.

He quickly walked into the inn he was staying in under the gaze of all those present, walked up to his room to grab his money (which he had stashed earlier) and walked straight to the Takemikazuchi Townhouse. When he arrived he found everyone in the Familia present.

"Hello Karma, I thought you would be coming later in the week." said Takemikazuchi. "Why are you covering your eyes?"

"Well you remember my skill right?"

"Yes what about it?"

"It has something to do with that. Do you have any rooms open here?"

"Sure, there's one down the hallway to the left."

"Thanks."

"Wait, don't you want to meet your fellow Familia members?"

"Well right now I won't be able to tell them apart so let's wait until next time. If you'll excuse me." said Karma as he prepared to leave.

"You can't talk to Takemikazuchi sama like that!" said an angry Ouka as he couldn't stand someone disrespecting his God.

"Are you seriously going to rage at a blind man?" said Karma sarcastically as he continued walking, much to Ouka's annoyance.

"If you were blind then how would you know where you're going?"

"I don't know, you tell me." he said as he closed the door behind him.

Karma was in his room thinking about all monster cores he had left behind in dungeon. "Stupid system only storing things that came from it and the Origin God."
