The man made a noncommittal grunt in his deep voice, then twirled the chess pieces in his hand, signaling for the butler to leave. He then glanced at Li Tong. "You go out too!"
Li Tong grinned and nodded. "Yes, Uncle Lu!" On her way out, she gave Jing Yiren a fierce glare before leaving.
Jing Yiren didn't mind and kept watching the commander thinking about his next move.
After observing the chessboard for a while, he lit up, having found a flaw, and prepared to make his move.
"If you place your piece there, you'll surely die!" Jing Yiren, who had been standing all along, suddenly spoke out.
The old man in a suit shot Jing Yiren an angry glare, upset by her interruption. "Young lady, don't interrupt! You're affecting the commander's strategy."
"I'm only stating the facts!" Jing Yiren argued back, stepping forward and gesturing on the chessboard. "The game is about to end, so what's this talk of strategy?"
